Hi all,
I'm going to Uganda in mid-October and looking at various sites it seems I'll need a Yellow Fever jab. How long does it take for the jab to become effective? I've got a doctor's appointment on September 15th; is this far enough in advance?
Also, does the jab have any nasty side-effects? It's my wife's birthday the next day and I want to be able to party
Thanks
Eric
We had ours 3 1/2 weeks before we went to the Gambia. No side effects that I can remember, although you have to be careful if you have an egg allergy as they grow the vaccine on an egg culture. I had a childhood egg allergy though and had no probs.
HI DITTO to above reply no side effects whatsoever cheers maxie
