Next year my hubby is off for a week's mountain biking and so I'm toying with the idea of going on a yoga holiday on my own.
There seems so many places to chose from, from Spain to India! I'd dearly love to visit India but I'm slightly worried about going all that way on my own so I think I'll settle for somewhere in Europe.
Has anyone ever done one of these holidays? If so, I'd love to hear where you went and how it was.
Thanks.
Didn't realise you got such a thing Dawn. Hope you get sorted out.
Sorry this answer is a bit vague but a friend recently got back from a yoga holiday in Ibiza which she was raving about....I'll try and find out the name of the place for you.
But Ibiza might be a good choice, not too far away and short flight etc!!

Looks Ok, thanks a lot Luci.
I've also found a couple of Spanish ones too and one of them is a really good price. Now I'm a bit spoilt for choice.

Luv Sunshine,
The company I had chosen to go with aren't doing any holidays next year so I wondered if you'd had a word with your mate yet about that one in Ibiza?
Thanks,
Dawn

http://www.yogaplus.co.uk , lots of other activities and there's a great & empty beach about 400 yards away. Food is vegetarian in the morning & vegan in the evening but there are local taverna's if you fancy something else
Just back from my week-long yoga holiday in Tunisia and have to say I wouldn't particularly recommend that one. If like me, you want something a bit more structured, this holiday isn't for you.
The host allowed people to come on different days - which was really kind and flexible but it upsets the dynamic of the yoga - I ended up doing really basic stuff a couple of days, whereas I would have expected the challenges to increase during the week. I also had to push for the free trips that were included as because she had people arriving on different days, the activities were a little disorganised
To her credit she did apologise, accepted my feedback and said that it wasn't usually like that but I personally don't think the problem can be overcome unless she has a set change over date.
That aside, the hotel was very nice, we had a lovely room, the staff couldn't do enough for you and I was very chilled when I came home - which was the whole point after all...

If anyone's interested we run adventure yoga holidays in Egypt: yoga by the pyramids, scuba diving, camel trekking - and plenty of time relaxing on the beach!

Yoga... Goa is a ood place to come. there are places all over the place... Also a nice place to visit if you haven't been before
Skyros is a greek island. The Skyros Centre that has the courses has locations in other parts of the world too.
My friend went to the Greek location for one of their creative writing courses - she enjoyed it. She said the yoga course looks great.
I wondered if anyone has tried the yoga course?
