Zante for the 1st time

My husband, daughter (19) and I will be going to Alykes for the 1st time on the 23rd May for 1 week staying at the Koukounaria Hotel/Apartments. I would be grateful for any information on the area, hotel and what the weather will be like. We are staying self catering so would like to know how much money we will need and any recomendations for good restaurants. Does anyone have any advice on the best excursions to go on and what the best things to do at night are. We will be hiring a car, has anyone used Euroalfa? I know LOADS of questions

Hi Janetw,
I regularly go to Alykes (as do a few on this board), and we get a lot of help from http://www.alykes.com. If you get on to the message board there, they will answer a lot of your questions.
Have a lovely holiday (I know you will) - we'll be there a month after you.

If you're hiring a car you'll be able to get around the whole island. All the tourist resorts are fantastic and if you go off the beaten track you'll find fantastic scenery and little cafes dotted along the roadside. We've been twice and will definitely return.
