Ok thanks.According to the hotel description it seems to be a bit out from the centre but I'm hoping its not to far-and better still not to far from the beach.Hope thats the case anyway.Ps is the aircon effective as the aircon units we had in Cyprus weren't exactly efficent!

its only @ 5 mins to the planos centre with more restaurants and bars than youll need and 20 to 30 mins to the centre of tsilivi, we didnt use the aircon but spoke to others who needed it and it worked fine but its only in the main bedroom

the answer to both is yes, we never had a problem getting beds or a brolly and we were never by the pool before 10, as for restaurants there are plenty within 2 mins the one next door is v good and the fat olive at the top of the road is superb its a bit dearer but it is v good, you will wait a while for your food as it is freshly cooked, 5 mins away bring you to another 15 or so restaurants

You MUST make the effort whilst there to hire a car and tour the island, it's very compact and the drivers and roads are pretty good.

There are some lovely sites to see including the Blue Caves and the famous Smugglers Cove plus many, many more.

Zakynthos is great place and highly recommended I'm off for my 18th visit on 14th July, staying in Kalamaki.

P.S Top tip.....don't call it Zante when your there they HATE it as it's proper name is Zakynthos. Zante only came about from the UK tour operators to make it easier for us Muppets to be able to pronounce it

the blue caves are a must but smugglers cove is better seen from the viewing point, if you go to the blue cavestry and get on the smallest boat as they can get into the smallest of caves
