Just wondering if anyone has travelled to Zante with Direct Holidays this year. We went to Tunisia with them in 2005 had no real problems but read that some people have recently and also they there could be financial problems with them. I have found a holiday to Tsilivi with them which is £500 pounds cheaper than an identical holiday with First Choice or Cosmos, a massive saving but just a little bit dubious about booking considering some of the reports I have read. Think I might book it and take my chances but thought I'd see if anyone has any thoughts before I do.

Went with Direct Holidays 24th August this year for two weeks to Zante. No problems at all. We never bother with reps etc...cancelled the transfer as it was quicker and cheaper (they charge £30) by taxi....and also cancelled the inflight meals.....

i use to work for Direct holidays in bristol and i just recently received a letter to confirm direct holidays have now been taken over by mytravel this has been on the cards for months now so no need to worry.

they have been owned by MyTravel since being purchased by Airtours in July 1998
you will love the planos end of tsilivi make sure you call in at friends and the ark bar and you must eat at fat olives

Direct holidays have been their own independent tour operator thats why their prices have been cheaper than mytravel (airtours) Hence they cut out the middle man etc.
so its all confirmed they now have been brought out by mytravel. even though they say their part of the group.
