The Desert Gardens Hotel is situated in the middle of Ayers Rock Resort.
The rooms were clean and well furnished, there was as in most Australian Hotels a fridge in the room. We were provided with bathrobes.
We had a lovely desert view from our balcony, but for an extra 50A$ per night we could have upgraded to a Rock View room. We spent so little time in the room that we felt it wasn´t worth it to upgrade.
There was a nice looking swimming pool in the grounds of the hotel. The staff were pleasant though harrased as large tour groups were arriving all at the same time. Our room wasn´t ready when we arrived but we were given the key to a room where we could freshen up.
We didn´t eat in the hotel as we left to go on tours really early and had booked The Sounds of Silence Dinner one night and went on a barbecue the other night.
We talked to some other visitors who had eaten in the hotel and they said the evening meal was good but expensive.
