This was a lovely hotel with lovely gardens and a lagoon pool. We had the pool to ourselves most times. We were in a standard room. The room was basic but had everything you need for a short stay. We also made use of the laundry facilities which were reasonable. The staff were very friendly and the courtesy bus was great. The food in the restaurant was great too - they did special deals which made it not too expensive. We would recommend using the Tour centre which is in the foyer of the hotel. They can book trips for you etc and they are very friendly and informative.

The staff here were excellent, we were met at the airport even though we had not made arrangements previously. Our Colonial room was as clean as it could be but was in need of refurbishing, the bath was marked and there was a large stain on the carpet. The huge lagoon/tropical style grounds were beautiful as were the pools and we were lucky enough to get a pool to ourselves sometimes. The food was good although we only had breakfast there and 1 evening meal.A free shuttle bus ran into Cairns hourly until 6pm, taxis going back were plentiful and cheap. The staff were welcoming and polite and I wish I was still there!

The Hotel is a large two storey complex situated 5Km from Cairns there are three lagoon style pools, two restaurants and a snack bar.
There are different types of room, standard to luxury, we stayed in a large studio room that could be partioned to make a bedroom with a large double bed and living room with sofa beds in the area. The room contained a small kitchenette area.
We only ate once in the restaurant prefering to eat in one of the many restaurants in Cairns. The hotel was kept very clean and the staff were superb. The ground floor rooms looked a bit dark as the hotel has it´s own rain forest which shields the rooms, but does help keep the area cool. I can´t rate the entertainment as we didn´t stay in the hotel in the evenings.
The only drawback is the fact that the hotel is 5km out of Cairns and the shuttle bus stops running at 6pm. No local bus service so taxis were needed at night. There is plenty of parking if you have your own car.
