The Desert Cave Hotel is the most expensive hotel in Coober Pedy it is used by both tour operators and individual travellers, most people stay one or two nights.
The rooms are both above and below ground, those below are cut out of the rock face. The underground rooms were very cool and welcome as the outside temp.was around 35
