An excellent hotel, we had no complaints. The reception staff are welcoming and help with luggage and show you to your room.
The lounge and bar area is cosy and comfortable. There is a patio at the front of the hotel for warm weather with a resident musical duo afternoons and evenings. Also a big selection of cakes! Well this is Austria.
Outside there is a small but very clean outdoor pool set in a wonderful garden. The views are amazing and the sunbeds comfortable with umbrellas and shade provided. To the side of the outdoor pool is an indoor pool, again with sunbeds to use in cooler weather.
Children are well catered for with a playground which can be used really by up to age 12. Downstairs there is an indoor play area designed for smaller children. We didn't use the kids club but the children could be supervised Monday to Friday.
The restaurant was excellent. There is a salad buffet daily which was v good and a weekly Italian pasta & pizza buffet and barbecue.
We didn't see the rooms in the main hotel as we stayed in the annex. Other sites have suggested the annex to be atrocious but this just was not the case. The room was spacious and very clean. There was plenty of wardrobe space and our room had a huge balcony with fantastic views. We had obviously been upgraded to a room with bath and balcony as we had only booked for a small room with shower! The bed was 2 singles joined together with 2 separate quilts which is typical Austrian style.
2 nights a week there was alternative entertainment but I wouldn't say the entertainment was a big selling point.
There is free bike hire available at the hotel but is on a first come first served basis.
There is a walking guide, Christine, who looks to be going on some quite challenging hikes but she had plenty of guests joining her each day.
The hotel also has a bar opposite with a Cinema(films in German) and 9 Pin Bowling Alley - just like 10 pin really!
