Elenite is a lovely quiet resort to stay in - great for famillies with plenty of entertainment in the evenings.

It was kept very clean and the beach was absolutely gorgeous - lovely fine sand and warm sea. There were watersports on offer to but you had to pay for that - my husband jetskied for 35levs. It was nice to have that little bit of distance to Sunny beach, although we went there every evening!!

When you come out of the main security gates there is a bus stop with regular buses to Sunny beach and Nesseber. There was also a taxi stand. We had one guy who ferried us around for the entire 2 weeks we were there for. His name is Niki and he is extremely reliable and trustworthy and was very reasonable price wise.

We went further afar than Bourgas to visit friends and he would wait for us and would give us lots of local info. I also would go on my own to Sunny beach or Bourgas shopping in his taxi and I felt very safe.

All in all we had a lovely time and excellent holiday with great weather and we gained lot of new friends - and yes I would stay at the royal Park again - but I wouldn't eat every meal there.

I loved Elenite and Bulgaria and you just have to remember that it isn't Spain!!!

There are a few teething problems, but they are pretty new to tourism. So, go with an open mind and enjoy.........

The resort is a great base for visiting nearby towns and villages. Nessibar was especially beautiful with its old streets, market, history, good food, and good hospitallity.

The resort is well maintained, cleaners cleaning all day & night, gardeners gardening each day, no complaintes.
The beach was great, we enjoyed or time relaxing on the beach and it was always very clean.

We will be back we had a great holiday!!!

Those who have left moans on this page...get a grip...you are in Bulgaria...have respect for these people and their ways.

If you want chips and cheese then you should have stayed at home!!!

So small could walk it all in 15 min.unsafe objects and rubbish lying around, local deer attacks you and excrements in pool and next to sunbeds which you have to then avoid.Food in other parts also revolting unless you have the pizza which was the base ever.Cruel to animals keeping them in tiny cages 24hrs a day 7 days a week,SOMEONE SET FREE THE ANIMALS PLEASE!!!Rats near pool ares discovered and also uncovered sewerage holes for kids to fall in.No entertainment apart from half hour at night in hall with hardly enough seats so had to sit on dirty floors, and avoid there toilets.Worst holiday ever, will never go back, only in my nightmares!!!!

The problem is the some of the holiday makers did not care about the litter they left behind, but the cleaners were not far behind them cleaning up.

The beach was a haven for my grandson.

We will be going back next year

Spent most days shopping in nearby Sunny Beach or Nessebur.

Was generally disappointed with the actual hotel complex.

Felt very safe as the two hotels and village complex were pretty much on their own. Superb if you are looking for a relaxing family holiday but probably too quiet for young people.

The resort itself appeared clean and there was always an army of staff around cleaning up.

The pools were clean however freezing cold. The beach was lovely and there were always plenty of sun loungers. The only complaint we had was with the wasps of which there was plenty!

Be careful if you have children using the poolside bar to get fizzy drinks as the wasps tend to congregate around the taps and both my children were served drinks with wasps in them! As the bars in the hotel were so bad we ended up going to the only two bars outside of the resort one of which offered a very friendly welcome and had its own entertainment which after a couple of very inexpensive drinks got you in the party mood.

There is a bus service outside the hotel which runs to Sunny Beach every hour or so. Be warned though there is no respect for queing it is first come first served. If you actually make it onto the bus be prepared to be packed in like sardines as there are many stops along the way and the driver will stop at every one until people are just about hanging out of the doors.

There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in Sunny Beach and it is very cheap however it is wall to wall hotels and building sites.

Be careful where you change your money when there and always check that the exchange rate is the same inside the bank as advertised outside, usally on a freestanding board, as happened in our case when we were not given the amount advertised outside and when queried the bank reported the sign outside did not belong to them.

Nessebur is well worth a visit.
The old town is lovely and also has a good selection of shops and restaurants. The Resort of Elinite is very out of the way and quiet. You are literally in the middle of nowhere and there are no footpaths outside the resort so you can't even take a walk safely. If you have teenage children I definately would not recommend this resort as we spent all the holiday looking for things to do to try and keep them entertained and were not very successful!
