When we arrived thought hotel looked like holiday camp 30 years ago.
When we went into the room, it looked like a drub users squat. There was an awful smell coming from the bathroom. We were staying in the 2 star rooms.
Miles from beach!
No entertainment nearby.
Fortunately there was a four star hotel nearby called The Gardia where we ate at every night which was excellent!
Never visit Bulgaria again! Disgusting, there is no other way of describing it.

This hotel was very dirty and miles away from anywhere. You had to go on a chair lift to the beach and a taxi every night to the centre.
The food in the hotel was disgusting and the staff very unhelpful.
A lot of things in the brochure didn

When we first arrived at the Alen Mak, I honestly thought we had arrived in a war zone. The hotel is in the back of beyond and is miles away from any form of civilisation.
It was raining heavily and the dining room ceiling was caving in with the rain. As there was electric lights this was dangerous.
The pool was not fit to wet your big toe in as it was green. The Hotel staff were very rude and not at all helpful. In fact after 2 days we insisted on being moved to somewhere else and after much protest at The Balkan Holidays Head Ofice in Golden Sands we were moved to The Tsaravets Hotel in Golden Sands.
My advice to anyone thinking of visiting Bulgaria, do not book anything less than a 4/5 star hotel.
