Nikea Park is located next to Golden Sands Resort and is 250m from the sea. We had a great holiday, the sea views from our 4th floor apartment we're great. The pool was a good size with baby pool at the side which was kept clean throughout our stay.

Nikea Park is situated up a hill so I would not recommend for elderly people but I believe there is a bus that stops outside to take you into the resort, we never used it though.

Our apartment was spotless and the bedroom was a nice size, with a good size living room and kitchen area. There is a restaurant but we did not eat there as there is a lovely fish restaurant at the bottom of the hill with sea views which was really reasonable.

The walk to Golden Sand Resort was 12 mins walk away, there is also a large water park about the same distance which is great for the kids. Golden Sands Resort is great for kids with loads to do.

There is a lovely quiet beach about 5 mins walk as the crow flies 250m from the apartments which is great and a lot less busy than golden sands.

Altogether a great place to stay, not much in the way of entertainment but a great base with lovely views.

Nikea Park Hotel is a brand new complex just outside the resort of Golden Sands, located just up the hill from the Riviera Resort. The Cleanliness is very good, but a real shame about the staff, they are really grumpy and don't really acknowledge you. When we arrived and went to the front desk we had to say 'excuse me' to the man before he even looked up....weird.

The views are brilliant, especially from the front end of the wing that looks straight out to see and doesn't have the noise from the pool area, these appartments have fabulous windows floor to ceiling making it very enjoyable to just sit back relax and take in the wonderful view. I should imagine that it would also be quite nice in the winter too! Try not to get a room on the ground or 1st floor, their views are not good as they do not look over the tops of the trees. Otherwise the view from the 2nd floor and up benefits from awsome sea views with the beutiful national park in the foreground.

The appartments are very well equipped, not the best quality, perhaps a bit 'Ikea' like, but perfectly respectable and very nice and clean.

The beach is about a 15 minute walk via a little path that runs between the trees. Good exercise, all down hill getting there, but gets you a bit puffed out on the way back. We used the beach connected to the Riviera resort, personally we thought they were nicer than on the main drag in Golden Sands, although they were great too if you don't mind the crowds.

I would return, although disapointed with the reception staff, the bar people were very nice. Despite the size of the place, it seemed remarkably quiet, so never fighting for space. Parking is free and lots of it too. It is about a 20 minute stroll into the GS resort, which we loved although don't forget anything if you are going into town, it is a real pain having to walk all the way back again!

I would certainly recommend Nikea Park. It is having a few teething issues, being a new building but it will no doubt get over that and be a splendid place to stay in the summers 2008/09.
