Our third vist to GS took us to The Nympha.
Although it has a brilliant private on-beach location so there are plenty of space, sunbeds and parasols to go round the closure of the side gate access to the promenade is a big minus for all the guests. A noddy train will take you to the Main Security Gate every two hours though and this is a must for those of us who lack a bit of puff. The hotel itself does need a wee make over compared to the near by Imperial, Lotus, and Riviera, but as it is classified as 3*, is gets away with it, just. The lovely 'dinky' lift is a joy to ride in and adds a touch of charm. The food was far better than I imagined and a full English was always available as is all the usual fayre you'd expect. Both lunch and dinner offer a good choice too and the soups were especially good...and always piping hot as well. The continued variety was rather pleasant compared to some of the other A/I hotels we have used across The Med in recent years. The very friendly, efficient and smiley waiting staff wipped away your plates before you even put them on the table...excellent attention. Sadly for them though their uniforms are a tad dull and ill-fitting so the mamagement should take note asap. Good staff deserve a bit better kitting out. The room-maids were brilliant and we took great delight is seeing just what 'shapes' our (daily) clean towels were going to be on our return from the beach...nice touch that. The entertainment is held at the nearby Riviera at 9pm nightly the 8.45pm Noddy Bus takes you there, we never bothered as we prefered the bar and the lovely moonlight across the terrace. Not a lot of choice as regards true cocktails but plenty of free beer, wines and spirit/mixers made up for that. The ATM at the main gate was a real bonus as the nearest Exchange desk, within The Imperial, gave only 2 lev to the

Hotel Nympha. The perfect hotel except now the hotel gate is kept permenantly locked so as my husband now has walking difficulties it means that because it takes so long to walk to the promenade we will be unable to return again as will many people that we met this year that have been going to the Nympha for as long as 15 years. Please unlock the gate !

a lovely little hotel right on the beach its part of the riviera group, the food is pretty good as well sunbeds and parasols are free as are pedoloes, the hotel is itself a bit dated but very clean the only downside is the gate by the neptune restaurant only opens 7-11pm and it is a 15 minute walk into golden sands not as it says in the balkan brochure 1 minute , but all in all we enjoyed it and have booked again for next june
