Staff were OK but not overly cheerful.

The hotel was akin to Faulty Towers. Air Con constantly dripping, toilet in room broke twice. Food v boring and repetative. No evening entertainment at all. Hotel pool very dirty - my Daughter got an ear infection & Hotel Doctor charged me £70! Also found broken glass on more than one occ on bottom of pool! The general staff were OK but not overly cheerful.Chambermaids lovely and hard working.

Arrived just after midnight as a group were allocated our rooms all on different levels and positions.
One pair of friends were single males who paid extra for low room level, sea view and separate single beds but room given was on top floor no sea view and double bed.
This got sorted after two more room changes, staff seemed very disinterested.
Next the food, first morning found food to be very poor with small choice often running out of things like milk, sugar, and even breakfast bowls.
The lunches and dinners where much the same very poor food with small choices which where repeated frequently.
Evening time there was little entertainment with only one small bar & only one local beer.
Bar staff played music very loudly even at night giving a constant boom boom noise,to low level rooms
Rooms, toilet, shower were ok but no plug in sink.
Main toilets in reception (also next to bar) where clean but always had a very unpleasant smell.
Would not recommend to anyone could not wait to get back home which seemed to be the same option of other guests regardless of nationality.

First time in Bulgaria last minute all inclusive. Well where to start read past reviews which were very mixed so we take as we find which was the hotel itself not bad at all clean and in a good position.

Now to the food which was repetative same dishes nearly every night. Desserts very poor hardly any choice and no fruit (Dairy products not chilled )Breakfast no bacon and very poor all round.
So we only had one breakfast in so ate out the rest of the time even though all inclusive, very poor all round food wise.

The one thing that stood out the most from day one was the attitude of the staff very miserable and never smiled everything was an effort.(All the bulgarians we met were the same)Be warned not very friendly at all.

Don't go to this hotel If you are English you will be totally uncatered for.

The food is absolutely abysmal. Believe me I am not a fussy eater, and for the first 2-3 days we tried to find something we liked/ or could stomach.

My husband has travelled and worked extensively in Europe so was accustomed to different foods. The hotel was much more suited to German , French and Eastern European. We ate out most of the time. My husband was violently ill for 48 hours, and I became ill later in the week. Other guests had diarrhea and stomach upsets. It spoiled the holiday and by the 5th day, I couldnt wait to get home.

The drinks are OK and the rooms are spacious and clean, but as mentioned before reception and dining room staff staff are disinterested. The chambermaids seemed pleasant and worked hard keeping the rooms spotless.

At first we were amazed to find the pool/outside area was cold and windy, when the resort itself was warm. We discovered this was because the hotel is built near to another high rise hotel and as they are on a slight hill, they seem to make a wind tunnel. So if you want to sunbathe you would be better off down on the beach.

If you are going to Bulgaria, I would suggest you do not bother at all with an all inclusive hotel, especially not this one.

We arrived at approx midnight, after checking in we were given a plastic bag with one cheese-slice buttie, and an orange.NO other food or drink. We thought we would recieve more on fully inclusive. We had to pay for our drinks cos it was aftr 11pm.

The room was clean and spacious, with small balcony. It was soon apparent that staff did not understand English, they only understood how many levs they charge you for phonecalls[all in cash!].

There were only 40 chairs in the main reception lounge, for a full hotel of 300 people. People had to carry in plastic ones, it was too cold to sit out.

They had plenty of porters stood about doing nothing, never there to help the disabled in wheelchairs.
The hotel was convieniently situated for 'HAPPY ST', If you like noise and prostitutes. Very seedy, did not feel safe at all.

The food seemed fresh and plentiful, however very boring. The waitresses had an annoying habit of removing away all your plates and glasses before you had finished with it??.

The entertainment was provided by strange young troup of kids-mainly miming, and other non-pc 'humour'.
The rest of entertainment was bingo and aerobics- mainly attended by old ladies.Oh I forget, the constant loud 'boom-boom' music.

I incurred a dental problem-no 'med-rep', no help from hotel staff. This cost me

We stayed at the Royal on a aoa bed and breakfast deal though most of the guests were HB.

The hotel room was a good size and still smelled brand new. There was plently of storage space. A tv, telephone and mini fridge. The beds were larger than a King size and very clean. The bathroom was larger than expected and the shower was powerful. Hot water was avaiable at all times and in plentiful supply even at peak times.

The balacony was large enough to seat two people and a table. The balconies over looked the clean pool or if you were high enough up on the sea facing side the rest of the resort and the sea. There was an inside pool also.

The breakfast was geared towards the german clientel, but there was a massive choice and it would be hard not to find something you did not like. A lady made omlettes and fried eggs to order for free if you fancied them.

The hotel was in an excellent position, although a sloping walk 10 mins down to the beach, the resort bars, shops and clubs were close by but far enough away not to have any noise at night.

The hotel staff were polite and spoke good English the pool bar staff were friendly and the bar was open 24hr but no blaring music like many hotels! There was no entertainment provided at the hotel.

I enjoyed the hotel very much and it is of a good standard for a 3* hotel though no air conditioning!

When we first booked this hotel it was bed & breakfast but we where upgraded to Half board but the evening meals left a lot to be desired. So I was pleased we hadn't paid for them as we ate out after the first evening.

The hotel was spotless and the staff where exellent, especially Marina in her bar adjacent to the restaurant.

The hotel is set back away from the hustle & bustle but close enough.

We didn't use the pool because it was shaded most of the day.
