Obzor is a large village with very few facilities, but they are trying. Some bars drinks are very cheap, lot of little stalls selling beach items, clothes, jewellery, fruit etc all are very cheap and you feel that you want to buy if only to help the local economy. This I feel will change as more hotels are built, I hope it retains some of its traditional ways.

Obzor is a great little place which has a great variety of shops where we could buy whatever we needed including nappies.
Obzor has a lot of building work going on at the moment, and in a few years will be another sunny beach, go this year while it is unspoilt, we thought it was perfect.

The village of Ozbor was a bit boring with not much going on even though it was the beginning of June. The people were polite and not pushy though. It was scruffy and run down. I would only visit this resort again because of the Riu hotel which is great.

The resort of Obzor itself is a very laid back traditional bulgarian town which is new to tourism.
There is a small town square with a few bars and shops yet again I hope this won't change too much. We felt safe walking out at night and the bars were very cheap!
The beach in our hotel boundries was perfect with water sports if you wanted them and the sea was warm.
Watch out for the dolphins we would definitely visit again.

Only a growing resort as there is only 2 or 3 hotels and there is no nightlife but Im sure the hotels provide some entertainment. The beach is good and clean and not crowded yet but once this resort expands then I expect it to be busier. Overall I would definetly come back but only recommend 7 nights just now.

The resort of Obzor is extremely quite. However in a few years im sure things will have developed abit as there are new apartments etc being built now. There are a few resturants/cafes about if you fancy something different from the hotel. We were there the second to last week of the season so the resort was abit of a ghost town with only a few shops open getting those last few Levs from us.
Im sure it was busier in July and August but still not a lively resort.

On our first day we realised that everything had closed for the season. Nothing is within walking distance, we caught a mini bus form outside the hotel which took us to sunny beach cost around £7 each return.
When we booked the holiday we were told sunny beach was within walking distance, it actually took around 40 min in the mini bus.
The beach was a bit dirty, broken glass on the sand near to the closed club, and there seemed plenty of sand flies.

Obzor itself was practically none existent. The beach was o.k. but the sea was rumoured to be the landing place of all the waste from the hotel.

It is a lovely quiet resort it has a beautiful beach and most shops that you need only a 15 min stroll into the town centre. (Some shops do start to close in September)
You have some bars and restaurants, but nothing like Sunny beach.
The bus transport is limited to white mini busses although taxis are abundant.
To get a bus go to the main square and turn right. At the bus station you buy a ticket and you will have to push your way on to the mini bus. On the way back buy the ticket on the bus!
The area is only just getting used to visitors and many locals only speak german. A phrase book would be handy.
If you like night life and noise this place would not suit you, but if you like a some R & R its perfect.
