Location
I am very picky when it comes to food but didn't by any means go hungry. It's mostly Bulgarian, we did get chips once a week, but then we didn't go all that way just to eat English food, thats all part of the holiday experience. Every evening there was a choice of salads, two soups, three vegetables and three meats/fish, cakes, fresh fruits, icecream. Don't expect piping hot food, it IS properly cooked but allowed to cool a little before serving as Bulgarians believe this aids digestion.
The staff were all very pleasant.
We booked four excursions. Be sure to go to the The Khans Tent, nice food and drink, good entertainment suitable for all ages. The Jeep Safari is only available to over 16's because of insurance but its a really fun day out for the adults.
Remember Bulgaria is a very poor country, still recovering from the days of Communism. Take things as they come, make problems part of the adventure and you will have a great time.
Have a great time ... we most certainly did.

We always found breakfast sufficient but could be improved upon. Evening meal was very poor, so we ate out most nights.
The location of the hotel was perfect for us. 5 mins walk to seafront. No noisy bars nearby, hotel is next to busy main road but it didn't disturb us.
We couldn't fault the hotel staff, we found them friendly and helpful especially Daniel our med hotels rep.
Entertainment was poor but we went out most nights.
Hotel drinks reasonable, Becks lager 2levs(72p) a pint.
Would stay at this hotel again but on a bed and breakfast only.

The shower was a bit dodgy, but other than that I can't fault it. The maid came everyday and tidied up very well, even folded my clothes up!!
The hotel bar is quality, friendly staff and cheap drinks.
The pool is big, but we could never get a lounger. Lots of Germans, Swedes etc.. but after biting my tongue a couple of times, there were no issues with them (in the hotel anyway, but that's a different story).
We stayed on a B&B basis.. But unfortunately never made breakfast, so I can't comment.. Therefore I commented on the food we bought from the restaurant through the day which was good enough for a hungover me!
More for couples and families.. But I enjoyed it.

The pool area is clean and is spacious. I wasnt stuck on the breakfast and had it about 4 times out of the 2 weeks (it is aimed at the Germans) but you can quite easy get a breakie anywhere on the resort for about

The location I feel was the better location out of Sunny Beach, very central close to the vast majority of shops and beach. As for the hotel staff, they were all very pleasant, but hold on to your belongings,I had my 2 young boys with me and even when sitting around the pool goggles, flip flops towels would go missing, and I proved it to be the locals when I found a cleaning lady wearing our footwear!! As for the pool, you couldnt put towels down in the morning or the lifeguard would remove them, unless you sat on your sunbed and didnt move from it, around the pool was very busy, so it was every man for himself srambling to get a bed !! On the subject of the pool, glasses and bottles are permitted outside, my own child any many others that were there had cuts caused by bottles & glasses being knockered over (which will happen)on there feet. I did complain to our rep to suggest they move to plastic for around the pool area.
Entertainment - There is nothing at all for the children, I had 2 weeks in resort & it was the same dancing every night, and it seemed to be the majority of the hotels were the same.
I would not visit this hotel or in fact Bulgaria again or at least not for another 10 years. I know Bulgaria is only just starting out in the "Holiday capacity" but there are standards and health and safety issues we as Europeans do appreciate when spending so much money on our annual family holiday.

I must say when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised, the hotel was very clean, the cleaners came in everyday and our towels were changed every single day.
The breakfast was good, a lot of choice, not just continental. The evening meal however wasn't very good, they seemed to cater more for Germans and Bulgarians, we gave that a miss. It is so cheap to eat out and we found some very good restuarants.
We all found the staff pleasant, also the fact that the lifeguards remove any towels put on the sunbeds to save them was a good thing as it gave other people a chance to get a sunbed.
We would go back again.

The food was absolutely disgusting unless you bought a meal from their menu. The reception staff were rude and pig ignorant if you had a complaint they went into a back room and closed the door on you.
In the brochure said it was ideal for families, not if you want any sleep though gangs of Germans and Danes running up and down the corridors in the early hours shouting and partying which the hotel staff did nothing about.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone but especially not to anyone with a family or the more mature holidaymaker not a place that makes the brits welcome.

What can we say about the food in the hotel, ah yes Disgusting!
The location was ok. We unfortunately had a room above the main road so it was like sleeping on the M1.
We didn't have a lot to do with the staff. But please note they keep hold of your passport till the end of your holiday. If you ask for it back you get sharpe shrift!!! This we found quite unerving.
Entertainment wise, not a lot. Would definately not take children. Also if you want a place round the pool you will need to get up at 3am to get a bed!

When we got to the hotel it looked clean but the reception staff were far from friendly. There were a lot of young Germans in our landing and after a flight etc I was dying to get to bed. The room was very small and looked onto the main road. I was really disappointed after all it was supposed to be 4* and defo wasn't!!! Couldn't sleep with the noise of the Germans next door eventually turned music off about half 5 in the morning.
Pool area was lovely although if you weren't early you wouldn't get a sun bed.
The food was rotten and I would say was more suited for the Germans. Some of the waiters were very nice but didn't speak much English.
After a few sleepless nights I complained about the noise of the young Germans in our landing, I understand that they are young and so am I but it was just beyond a joke trying to get a sleep. The rep was quite helpful but the women behind reception was ragging that we wanted to move rooms she was so unhelpful.. Eventually they moved us to an even smaller room looking onto the back of a building site!! I was at least glad we would get a decent sleep as it was quite at night.
There was a few Scots and English families there who said they had also complained about the big groups of young German people who were keeping them and their kids awake. They also said they would never go back to this hotel.
The maids were great, probably the nicest staff in the whole hotel and kept the rooms clean.
