We stayed in The Grand Hotel for 2 weeks on a half board basis. The Hotel is very clean. Our wee cleaner who looked after our room was a gem. Rooms spotless as was the reception areas, toilets etc. Couldn't really comment on cleanliness of pool area as we spent most of out time at the beach. Only criticism is pool area is too small for size of hotel and it is survival of the fittest to get a sunbed - can't blame Germans here the brits were to blame!!!Play fair guys if you book a sunbed - lie on it.. The food was fine, fresh, good enough variety. The location is first class - right in the centre of Sunny Beach, beach a stone's throw away -brilliant. The Hotel staff were excellent - spoke very good english and very helpful - nothing was a problem. We felt the atmosphere very relaxed and laid back. There are pool tables in the pool area and a games room on the first floor - enough to keep kids entertained. We would defintely visit again...

The Grand Hotel Sunny Beach is certainly worth it's 4 stars. The Hotel must be one of the best in Bulgaria let alone Sunny Beach. Only the Hotel Victoria towards the northern end of the resort looked better.
The hotel is spotless rooms are cleaned daily even door handles are polished. Bed linen is also changed daily and the carpets are hoovered so your room is extremely clean.
The food is buffet but of a very high quality and waiter service is available on request. There is a choice of food in the evening with a starter, main course and desert.
Breakfast is not to be missed whether you like cereals
or a traditional English Breakfast. Sit outside and have breakfast Al Fresco in the warming early morning sun.
The Grand Hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of the resort and just a 5 minute walk to the major shops, restaurants and bars.
The staff are friendly and always willing to help with advice on the resort and where it is best to change money.
The rooms are large and spacious with excellent facilities. The beds are soft and the rooms are serviced regularly by the hotel staff.
Entertainment is somewhat limited to music being played by the Pool Bar. The swimming pool is clean and spacious ideal after going for a swim on the warm evenings.
I would certainly go back to the hotel again.

The rep was Bulgarian and she informed us that the Bulgarian chefs in the hotels were not up to speed with the English meals, how right she was!! eg. breakfast, yes you could get cereals full stop. The butter if you wanted toat was floating in a pool of water!! Most of the food or should I say the whole of the food was cold. The rep also infomred us that apart from your RIU and Iberostar hotel were up to International quisine, again hence that is why we ate out at the restaurants all of the time, bang went our money, so much for all inclusive. If you really find the need to go to Bulgaria, if you do not go in one of the above mentioned Hotels, I would strongly advise you all to go self catering.
Again, when we complained, please note the above information came from a Bulgarian which speaks volumes.
The cleanliness of the Hotel you could not fault, entertainment non-existant.
