Kalina Gardens Hotel is a lovely 4 star hotel within easy walking distance to the beach. It is one of the cleanest hotels in Sunny Beach, myself and friends came back this morning after spending 2 wonderfull weeks there.

The food is not up to British standards but, we are in Bulgaria if people want fish and chips they should stay home. They have such a variety of food one would not starve.

The drinks and food are very cheap and every one we spoke to were helpfull and polite.The pool is lovely, well looked after,and everywhere you looked is spotless.

We are booking to go back next May to Kalina Gardens as we were all very pleased with all aspects of the holiday.

The hotel it self was very clean.

Sun beds are cleaned each day pool cleaned each day out door and indoor.

Hotel food is alright if you like smoked food hotdog sausages for breakfast not that nice after a week. Food is only luke warm that the way they eat it they beleive hot food is unhealthy. There is a microwave to heat your food up. If you like a good cup of coffee don't have the one in the restaurant buy a sachet from the hotel shop and take it with you there is hot water in there.The cakes are very nice but not to good for your waist line.

The hotel is very central for every thing shops, beach, bars and restaurants. Hotel staff are great they really take time to listen to you and the children. But they tend to talk to Germans more. Had a few run in with Germans but not to worry would not bring myself down to there level. Their children where more noiser and very badly behaved was very pleased with my two because they were angels compared to their kids.

When going for a walk at night be on the look out for the snakes, crocodiles and bears. They put them on you when you are not looking so you can take a photo of them I don't know how much they charge. The bears are not in very good health it's a shame really.

Designers clothes are cheap but there is also a lot of fakes that look like the real thing. Entertainment was very poor I even went on the karoke to try and take the boardom away. They have a man and woman doing a dance show which is good but it's the same every time this is three times a week. By the rivers of Babylon is the only one they seam to like got fed up of hearing it. The children got really bored so we ended up paying for them to go on the computers every night.

There are a lot of beggars on the streets some as young as 4years of age but don't be fooled by some of them not as poor as they make themself out to be.

The water in the out door pool is cold the water the water in the indoor pool is freezing!!!!!!! Beer they don't know what a pint or a half are, it's a big one and a small one.They do cocktails my daughter had them a lot but do ask for a safe one (non alcoholic)

Most people that were ill had eaten out we had no problems ourselves. We did have a pizza a couple of days at lunch but we were fine.

Hotel clealiness was excellent I have never seen a cleaner hotel they even cleaned the hotel sign on the roof.

Hotel food was great no complaints from our party they even had smiley faces and fish fingers.

Location was great once we had got our bearings it was nice and quite.

Staff well what can I say never before have I met a nicer bunch of people. Our kids were a massive hit with Eugeni the chef, all of them were absoultly brilliant.

Didn't pay much notice to the entertainment, although the most entertaining was watching the germans getting the sunloungers at some mad hours.

Would most definitely return to this hotel already looking for next year.

This is one of the cleanest hotels i have ever stayed in , It is very nice and modern, the rooms are large and the shower huge, It is set a bit back from the beach but only a few minutes walk.

The food was not to our liking it was mostly geared for the many Germans who stayed there, there were very few British when we were there, it is also only luke warm but there is a microwave in the restaurant if you can stomach the food. Having said that breakfast was OK we did not like the cold meats and salads but there was always boiled scrambled and fried eggs and beans bread and jam so you could knock together a breakfast of sorts.

The entertainment was rubbish just a man and woman singing and dancing and this was defiantly for the German audience.

Went 4* AOA with Balkan and were allocated Kalina gardens. Lovely hotel extremely clean. Rooms spacious with air conditioning large bathrooms and nice fixtures and fittings.

Lovely pool again very clean also indoor pool.

Had booked BB as we like to eat out at night but on arrival were given HB. Breakfasts very nice plenty of choice. Did try evening meals went in early for snack and then out to eat later at night. Lots of choice meat, fish, lovely salads, soups, vegetable dishes and cakes/desserts. Some of the food was not served as hot as it would be at home but this tends to be the way food in Bulgaria is served.
None of our party had any stomach upsets.

The Hotel was in the centre of the resort a few minutes walk from the beach but were not disturbed by any noise.

Staff at the Hotel were all very pleasant and helpful. Porter was waiting to take bags to our room on arrival, maids did a excellent job and waiting staff in the bar and restaurant were very attentive.

There was entertainment in the hotel most nights Kareoke and small shows, quiz night, singer. We didn't stay in the hotel in the evenings but feedback was that entertainment not great.

Would definatly stay at this Hotel again absolutly no complaints.

We have just arrived back from this hotel which is a lovely hotel but totally geared towards the Germans. we were actually told to keep the noise down on our first day as German visitors came here to rest. The next day we were told to keep our children quiet by the pool, how can you keep children quiet by the pool on holiday?

we also had a bad experience with a German kicking our door because the children were noisy in the corridor in the afternoon. Our rep with Balkan was totally useless and spoke little English but asked us if we could move to the first floor as no Germans were on this floor. We asked to be moved from this hotel and were told we could go to the Globus where more British guests were but were told at the last minute we would have to pay

Kalina Hotel was a clean and pleasant hotel; it had all the amenities that you require. We found the staff helpful and pleasant rooms clean maid service was very good. At times we did feel as though the Germans came first! Tried not to get paranoid but it was true all the staff appeared to understand them very well but struggled to understand the English. We personally had no complaints about the Kalina and we would recommend this hotel good location, good pool, cleanliness, food Luke warm but ok. It could of have been worse you take your chances with any hotel that you have not been to before. Just enjoy you holiday it

The Kalina Garden was superb in just about every respect this is certainly the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff even wash every senbed each morning with disifectant.

The rooms are lovely,huge and bright and well furnished.The bathroom was immaculate and the showers huge always with lots of hot water.

The staff were absolutely wonderful did not encounter any unfriendliness at all, very helpful at all times.

The food was generally very good, with a good selection of meat,fish,pasta and salad dishes you could always find something that you could enjoy.

We would definitely stay here again.

Went July 03. Hotel very clean, staff were friendly if you were German you got treat better. Food for Breakfast was good but evening OK. Location of Hotel is good although late night disco's are appearing around Sunny Beach and one is accross the road from the Kalina. Had booked for this year with JMC but got letter dated 24-06-04 that due to health and safety standards they have removed the Kalina from there summer programme. Would love to hear from anyone who has recently been. Off to the Grand as our alternative after some negotiating...

Hotel spotless and cleaning staff lovely - nothing a problem, but bar staff would turn lights off on you at night when they wanted to go home!

Lovely big rooms and bathroom gorgeous.

Food tended to be geared towards German market and we ended up eating out most nights which was really cheap anyway but a bit annoying as holiday paid for on half board basis.

No entertainment whatsoever but plenty to do out and about in the resort.

Pool area and sunbeds kept clean and tidy.

Have booked to go back to Sunny Beach this year but different hotel and only bed and breakfast as half board option waste of money.
