We were due to stay at the Victoria Palace on our holiday but 2 weeks before we were told that the hotel had been closed and we were moved to Tiara Beach. As we were looking forward to going to Victoria Palace we were slightly worried about the change as we were travelling with 11 month old twins and weren't sure what to expect - There was definatley no need to worry!!!
The hotel at first glance looks really nice and smart which is exactly what it is!
The best thing about this hotel is the cleanliness..It is absolutley spotless and they have a huge team of maids and gardeners that are working around the clock to ensure it stays that way. The rooms are cleaned from top to bottom every day.. as we had two small children with us our room was very messy by the morning but the maid was fantastic and made sure everything was sparkling!
The food in the hotel was all very nice. Breakfast time there was all the usual - bacon, sausage, egg etc (although the bacon & sausages are very German tasting). Outside on the veranda there is a chef cooking fried eggs and omlettes to order and there is an abundance of continental breakfast items so there is something for everyone.
Dinner was good too, there is always at least 3 choices of meat plus normally 2 fish dishes and loads of salad and vegetables so I don't think any one would struggle to find something. If you like your desserts than you will be a happy bunny!! There was always about 20 different desserts and 10 different ice-creams so expect that post-holiday diet!!
The staff & entertainers in the hotel were excellent to. All spoke very good english and were always happy to help. The entertainment staff were busy all day doing loads of different activities but weren't pushy with you either... If you wanted to join in then great, if you didn't then they were fine with that too.
If you are travelling with children then don't worry - the staff all love children and go out of their way to help you as much as they can. They are fine with the children running around the lobby etc and always stop to say hello and have a little play.. There is also loads of High chairs in the restaurant so that isn't an issue.

Arrived Hotel 03.08.04-Went with open mind as had heard a lot about Bulgaria.
Hotel was spotless, food was okay,if your a sweet lover then your laughing cos the sweet trays were out of this world but as I like savoury, not my cup of tea, but as its that cheap in Bulgaria we went out few times to sample restaurants.
Try 'Brothers' just to the right of hotel, staff very friendly and even the hotel staff eat out there, so that tells you something. Also try 'The Old House' just down the road, most of the food is done on the big spits, from chicken/pork grilled etc-staff very friendly.
Large beer were only 1 LEV and considering we were getting 2.7 to our pound, less than 35pence for a beer. We were also getting 3 course meals for just under 42 levs-how could you complain with that.
The location of the hotel was brilliant, just outside the centre with train running every few mins into the main centre. Lots of shops, restaurants around hotel and supermarket just outside open 24 hours BRILLIANT, the supermarket also has a PROPER coffee machine so if you need a coffee fix thats the place to go.
Hotel staff were very pleasant, Staff on the main reception desk spoke English, but most of the other staff knew only German etc, but with hand signals you could at least be understood.
Entertainment was throughout the day, and the staff went round the pool to try to encourage all natonalities to join in.
I would definately recommend anyone go to this hotel-my hubby even said its the best holiday he's had!!!!!!!
But don't forget to try the Jeep Safari-dont use the reps one go to the one in town, as the hotel one offers you lunch/tea included, wherease the one in town you end up in mountains, visit a Bulgarian house with a distillery for making Whisky in it and try it!!! Wow, then you go into hills and make barbeque and food and everyone sits down eating, drinking wine/whisky and beer- although we were the only 3 English on our jeep safari (Germams) by the end of the day everythone was very friendly and drunk!!!!

We found this hotel to be superb. It is modern and very well maintained. Our room was spotless, and kept that way by the maids. The towels are changed daily if required. The rooms are air conditioned and equipped with safety deposit box (ask at reception for key, cost approx 25 lev for 2 weeks), TV,phone, hair dryer and excellent shower. Irons & boards are available on request.
The restaurant is pleasant, and has an area outside on a covered terrace overlooking the pool bar/ entertainment area. The food is excellent. At every meal there is a wide variety of hot meals, veg, pasta, salads, soups, breads etc. The food never runs out, there is always plenty of everything, and the hot food stays hot. We all stuffed our faces twice a day and never ate out of the hotel. My kids are very fussy, and my wife is vegetarian and we all enjoyed the food.
The hotel is at the southern end of the resort, and so is in a quieter spot than the busy centre, which suited us fine. The centre is within walking distance though, and there is a very cheap tourist train which picks up/ drops off outside the hotel on a regularly basis. The beautiful beach is a short walk away.
The staff are all friendly, very helpful and speak English. The entertainment team work hard, and there is a daily program of games for adults such as volley ball, air rifle shooting, darts, bingo, etc. The kids clubs are also good. Both my kids had a good time when they went along.
Although the majority of kids were German, the staff all speak English as well, and the kids had a great time. The team also put on entertainment in the evening, and while it was usually based around miming to songs, to make up a dance show, or music show, whenever we stayed around the hotel in the evening we found it to be entertaining.
Overall I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anybody thinking of going to Sunny Beach.
