Hi
My husband and I stayed in the Barbados Beach Club Family Resort. The Family Resort has just opened and appears to have been recently renovated.
The rooms were pretty basic but they were kept very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
We went AI and we ate breakfast and lunch at the Family Resort, but evening meals were at the sister hotel Barbados Beach Club, (only a minutes walk accross the road) The selection at breakfast and lunch was not huge but the food was very nice and you could ask for omelletes, porridge, fried eggs etc and they made them up freshly on demand. Cereals, toast, eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes tended to be the main staples at breakfast along with fruit juice tea and coffee. Not a huge selection for lunches either but some of the food was delicious ie barbadian stew and rice, they also did things like fresh burgers and chips, fish, chicken rice etc.
They have a kids menu which can be ordered from the bar (I think) and also a vegetarian menu which someone told me that you had to ask for and order the day before. Main meals were also very nice in the main hotel. We were intitled to 3 visits per week to the a la carte restuarante - Fish Restuarant and Italian. I was not impressed by either of the restuarants. Waited ages to be served and seated even though it was appeared quiet to us. You paid extra for Lobster and Steak and shrimp($48 barbadian dollars for lobster which is about
