Hotel is very clean always cleaning the staff are in that heat.

The food is great 24hrs you can get food and drink the lobby bar never shuts the banna mambers are lovely try them but they have taken them off the cocktail list so remember the name.

The beach is 1 of the best beaches I ever been to crystal clear water golden white sandy beaches it great.

The staff are also great got a lot of friends their now they are so friendly do anything for you.

We never watched many shows but the ones for kids were good.

I have already booked for 23rd September this will be my 5th time in Cuba at hotel PP. Me and my husband have been going since the hotel opened in 2003 twice even 3 time in 1 year go it's great.

We had a great holiday.

The beach is lovely and clean and there is plenty of sunbeds. The Pool area is vast and there is plenty of space. The rooms are clean and very big the beds are comfortable.

The food is very good but could be better. The food in the al-a-cart restaurants are better. I would reccomend the beefburgers in the 24hr pub they are out of this world.... we never had any upset tummys.

The entertainment is good but only if you like people dancing all the time which gets a bit boring. The band that plays every night sounds out of tune or maybe thats me.

The staff were very friendly and helpful except for the rep never saw him.

Yes we would go back to this hotel.

This holiday was terrific value for money considering it is long haul from the UK. I needed a break from life and made the right decision to go to Playa Pesquero Cuba with a good friend.

The whole resort was spotless, just how I like things. Rooms were lovely. I would say that bathrooms were more 3* but clean and functional. Rooms were well equipped, we particularly enjoyed the cute coffee machine and used CD player regularly (make sure you pack your favourite CD's).

I am normally a terrible sleeper, however the beds are very comfortable and I slept very well (perhaps something to do with the Strawbery Daquiri's I consumed!), The room was large with lots of storage and a good balcony area. The maid was fantastic. I took lots of my childrens outgrown clothes (nice not grubby)and left some of my own which were greatly appreciated. I also took some make up, small mirrors and silly items such as calculators and torches. (they have daily power cuts in Cuba).

If you do go, please take some cork screws for the lady resturant staff as they struggle with the old fashioned type which I could never manage. Also if you take colouring pencils take paper too as it is like gold dust (normal A4).

We thought the food was fantastic. If you have broad tastes then you will have no complaints, even if you are fussy, you cannot fail to find something to eat. La Pipas burgers are a must (I do not eat burgers at home but these are gorgeous!especially at 5.30 am after a night on the Daquiri's) The Al a Carte resturants are fab and the buffet is endless. Service in Asiatico needs a kick up the bum though. The seafood in every resturant is a must, so fresh and such a treat for us Brits.

Location was perfect for our situation. We went for a rest and would not have ventured out anyway. We did go on Dolphin trip though which was a lovely experience. I loved the fact it was in the middle of nowhere.

The Staff were 5*. They work hard and deserve to be tipped, they also seem genuine with it. If there is anything that you want in particular, just ask, nothing is to much trouble.

We made our own entertainment each evening with the friends that we made (the visitors to Pl Pesq are generally of a nice proffessional nature), so I cannot fairly comment on evening entertainment and spent every day on the beach.

I attended stretch and step class in the morning I loved that. I had a copy of the activity schedule and there was lots to do if you wanted it.

I will return next year with my Husband and two Children (2&7). I observed that childrens facilities were great with 3 age catagories of kids club, an inside nursery and sectioned off area with own pool linked to main pool area. Sea would have been too rough for my children, they would have to be very good swimmers and watch out for coral/rocks under that beautiful powdery sand. Swim shoes essential!

HOTEL
We stumbled upon a bargain through teletext holidays. We were told we would be minimum 4* all inclusive - allocate on arrival. We couldn't believe our luck when we arrived at the Playa Pesquero hotel.

First impressions were that the resort was spotless -
pretty villas surrounded by lovely gardens and huge pool.

Our room was perfect. It was clean and had everything we needed - satellite tv (disney channel for the kids), CD player, coffee maker etc.

The maids attend to your room every day with fresh linen and towels. They also fold your towels and bedlinen into a swan feature and leave flowers on your bed - lovely touch.

FOOD
The food was lovely. Breakfast buffet and lunch catered for all tastes. You have to book the alacarte restaurants but do this as soon as possible otherwise you may miss out on some of the best restaurants as they fill up quickly (we missed out on Romantico which is rated the best in the resort). We ate in the Italian, Seafood and Steakhouse which were all excellent. All inclusive includes everything - even branded drinks.

LOCATION
There is not much outwith the resort however you can catch the train to Guardalavaca. I wouldn't recommend it as there is ont much in Guardalavaca other than a market (consisting of around 5-10 tables) and you spend a lot of the time waiting for the train to take you back to the resort. There is enough in the resort to keep you occupied anyway with all the watersports etc.

STAFF
The staff in the resort are very friendly. They are very poor so you might want to take some small change to tip them.

ENTERTAINMENT
There is a show every night with the dancing troupe. These can be a bit cheesy but provides music in the background if you are drinking in the obby bar. There are salsa lessons every day by the pool and those who take part can get up on stage at the end of each show to join the salsa dance. The lobby bar is open 24 hours as is the beer bar in the shopping area. Be careful - the rum is very strong as we discovered.

Overall a fantastic holiday. Suitable for any age group. Would definitely go back.

Just returned from a fantastic holiday to playa pesquero hotel, we have already booked for this easter!
hotel is spotless. There are gardeners everywhere tending to the plants they make it look amazing!

the food isnt great, but there is nothing to complain about. the al a carte restaraunts were all great! they are all very differentm the gondola and the trattoria were probably my favourites.

The hotel is on a beautiful white sandy beach, there are 2 more hotels much further down. There is not much around, so everything happens in the hotel. Guardalavaca isnt very far away, we took a taxi but there is also a shuttle bus, which i didnt hear great things about. taxi cost 10 peso. On our return we got an old convertable as our taxi, which was great!

The staff are the best! all the waiters are great, especially alexis. The entertainment staff are also great, people like yis, labusta and fernando were my favourites! they were so friendly and sweet!

the entertainment isnt that great, during the day there isnt always much to do but its nice to relax. they have activities by the pool usually, lots of the activities are sports based. in the evenings there are shows, some of them got a bit repetitive but then something like the mexican night, where they got 3 couples to dress up in mexican outfits and do competitions was hilarious, then the cabaret quiz was great, one night they had a carnival in the boulevard where they had the band play all night and dancing and the roasted a pig for you, and had lights strung everywhere it looked, and was great!! there was also a disco at night which played a range of music, from american hip hop n rnb to spanish music with salsa beats to it, with a few weird random songs thrown in!

overall i loved it so much, shame about the entertainment but they cater for a wide range of nationalties, speaking different languages so i suppose thats a bit of a barrier, and also its a very good hotel for relaxing, so dont go there expecting a banging entertainment scene, its nice but not great!

Playa Pesquero is a 5* All-Inclusive hotel that is extremely good value for money.

Being located on the white sand beach, it really is like being in paradise!

The rooms are very spacious and each have satellite TV, a fridge (which is re-stocked daily) and a cd player which we were most impressed with.

The restaurants are all good but La Romantica is definitely the best.

All of the staff are extremely friendly and no request is too much trouble.

The evening entertainment is a real let down however. This is mainly cabaret based which although is okay at first, it becomes quite uninteresting after a few nights.

Playa Pesquero's setting is idyllic although a fair distance from Guardalavaca and anything else really!! This is also a slight hinder as you are fairly confined to the hotel at night time however as to venture anywhere else means a 10 minute taxi journey.

Although it has some (very slight) flaws, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to both families and couples alike.

Fab location with the beach minutes away from the hotel apartments which were imaculate.

The choice of food was endless, but must admit to craving for a chicken dinner by about the 10th day. Also, our son came back with salmonella poisoning from the holiday and was terribly ill for about 3 weeks after, so watch out for those eggs!!!

Staff were so friendly and helpful and did not expect tipping constantly.

The entertainment was really good and the costumes were amazing. How these people dont suffer with joint problems I dont know, with the amount of gyrating they do whilst dancing. Its amazing and they are all so multi-talented. We did tire of the shows after a while though as they are all very similar.

Also another word of warning... the pool is huge but watch out in the shallow end. It is really oily and slippy probably with all the sun creams people are using. I managed to slip on the second to last day, hence I had to hobble about for a few days before our departure.

We stayed in the Playa Pesquero Hotel on an all inclusive basis, we found the hotel to be very clean, with good food and several different restaurants to choose from. The hotel staff were very helpful. The entertainment could have been better but is very much on a par with other caribbean islands. We enjoyed our holiday so much that we have booked to get married there in June 2006.

The Playa Pesquero is fantastic. From the moment you arrive nothing is too much trouble fro the staff. The pool is lovely but hot. The grounds are beautiful and the maid service is spot on. We have travelled on many holidays all-inclusive but this has to be the best yet. Where else would you be able to drink 24 hours, although with the heat I would advise you not to! The beach is lovely and clean and with a nice wind that keeps you coolish. There is a disco and the nightly entertainment is repeated weekly so you do tend to miss the second weeks worth. The staff are lovely, one of the cart drivers even speaks Welsh, much to the joy of Mark our Welsh friend. We would go again in a shot and we are telling our friends to go.
