Iknow its been a long time since I visited the Hacienda but I just stumbled on this website looking up another holiday for this year.
Well where can I start the holiday from start to finish was breath taking, the hotel grounds were amazing the lake with the flamingos was definately my favourite.
The staff would do anything for you one in particular made us bottles of mama wana to take home (that lethal stuff that tastes quite nice).
The food was to die for Ive never seen so much food if you didnt like anything on the menu it wasnt any trouble for them to make you something else.
The only problem we had was with ants but i notified the staff and straight away they fumigated the room. The entertainment wasn't so good but we enjoyed listening to the live piano player in the lobby bar.
We both loved this place so much we have decided to go back and get marrried there sometime in the near future.

Upon entering this whole we felt like royalty. The hotel is plush and much exceeds its 4*plus rating. It was built after the hurricane in 2000, and is still in pristine condition.
The hotel is so clean with staff in abundance cleaning floors and emptying bins. The gardners never seem to stop pruning and cutting grass. This is a 24hr AI and it certainly runs that way
We never went hungry here they catered for everyone. With great speciality and buffet restuarants. The food was of a very high standard and varied on a daily basis. The food always looked appetizing and was well stocked from open to close. Especially loved the biscuits that were put out in the lobby bar every afternoon.
This hotel is set on its own beach. The only downside to the hotel that we can see is the traders that sit eitherside of the hotel beach. They are very persistant so our advice is unless you want to part with your cash sit in the centre of the beach and not near the traders. They usually shut up shop about 4:30 then it is safe to walk by thier shops without fear of being jumped on. There is also plenty to do off the resort if you want to take a taxi ride into Bayahibe itselft.
The staff here seem to bend over backwards to please you. From the gardners to the managment. They make you feel like you are the only person at the hotel. You are often spoken to before you even make eye contact with them. Nothing is too much trouble for them and the entertainment crew love to interact with you and get to know you on first name terms.
Again the entertainment is of a high standard. They like to involve the guests as much as they can. We even took part in one of the shows and loved every minute of it.
Most definately without hesitation.
