The resort in inself was very clean but I found that outside the resort there wasn't a lot to do. We did go on trips like going to see the dolphins and Ricks cafe and also on a boat trip but my kids were happy playing in the pool and the beach was no more than a 30 second walk from the hotel

For all those of you planning a holiday to Jamaica don't be tempted to stay in your lovely all inclusive hotel by the beach for two weeks you must get out there and discover the real Jamaica it is a beautiful country with really friendly people and to say I love this place would be an understatement!!
We spent five nights of our holiday staying with my boyfriends family just outside the village of Lucea in Hanover and the rest of our stay in Negril, what I did'nt realise about Jamaica was how far apart everything is and you will need to get a taxi or bus if you want to explore this place, make sure you agree a price with your driver before you get in and do haggle because they can try and charge you over double what it should be.
There are plenty of beach bars and restaurants and if you want you can go to a live reggae party every night at a different one, we went to Bourbon Beach, Marguaretaville and Ricks Place which were all good, make sure to take your cameras for the sunset and the divers at Ricks!
There are loads more to choose from and I will make sure I visit some more next time we visit so more reveiws to follow!!

Negril is not a big town as we expected and is quite shocking at first sight. People living in sheds and shacks, who are immaculate and well presented. Not much in the way of shopping. You will get all the souvenirs you need at Times Square duty free. Margaritaville is good fun and definitely worth a visit. They provide afree bus from your hotel and a free return. If you walk along the beach between hotels you will be offered everything from hairbraiding to crack cocaine, but again we just good naturedly declined and ahd a quick chat and ahd no problems. Definitely would go back the people are lovely

The resort was beautiful.Walking along the beach was lovely. We went to the local shopping centre and craft market. It is difficult to look at anything you want to buy on the craft stalls and the vendors keep on at you. In the shops there was no hassle.

Sea murky and nosiy with jet skis so not very relaxing, public areas of beach you do get harrassed to buy illegal things.

While we were there we had a massage it was wonderful. The masseur was great. She was very polite. The hut was located right next to the beach. So during the massage I heard the beautiful waves of the ocean.

Fantastic resort, great food, great people, would go again in a minute. Entertainment could use some help. We were sad to leave.

The resort cleanliness was very good also lots to do out and about down Negril beach, the beaches are stunning also the views and sunsets.
Would visit this resort again... It was the best.

Quite a dangerous place to visit if you do not stay on your own site.

Negril is the more peaceful side of Jamaica with what is considered to have the best beach in Jamaica - a 7 mile stretch. There is not much to do really in Negril, downtown Negril was about 20 minutes away from where we stayed and there is not much by the way of shopping etc there. Most of the resorts have entertainment there and the majority of people do not go off the resort in the evening. We ventured out a couple of times on trips which was great. We went rafting on the Martha Brae river then to the Dunns River Falls which really are nice (but be warned don't stop and talk to the vendors on the way out, just keep walking!) and we also went horse riding in the sea which is an experience, great fun and I would love to do it again! We also headed to Margaritaville Bar further down the 7-mile beach for a day out and this was lovely, beautiful sand and sea, and then finished the day off at Ricks Cafe where we watched the locals jumping from the rocks and trees - beware though EVERYTHING is expensive there. I would visit Jamaica again and stay in Negril even though there is no much to do evening wise.
