Despite reading lots of negative reviews about the hotel we enjoyed our two week stay we stayed in the bungalows. Don't let them put you off going, yes the hotel is supposed to be a four star but to our standards I would say a three.
The food is good and varied we had a three year old daughter who had no stomach upsets etc. The hotel is right on the beach just across a small road fantastic beach but the sea is a bit rough to swim in so beware children we saw three grown men saved by the beach life guard, yes I did say lifeguard that

We stayed at this hotel for 1 week after doing the Lost World Adventure tour on mainland Venezuela. The bungalows are lovely.
They are very spacious, with large bathrooms and each has it's own sun terrace. Food at the buffet restaurant was good and quite varied. They do theme nights and we enjoyed them all.
Their specialist restaurant was was of a high standard both for food and service. Housekeeping was good and the staff were friendly. Only the bar at the pool is open in the evenings and sometimes there was a queue, but it cleared quickly.
The beach was lovely and there was no shortage of sunbeds and shades, but they were situated very close together. Entertainment was ok and we certainly had laugh at some of it. Fri & Sat nights at the hotel were busy with locals coming for the weekend.
The hotel is beside lots of shops and restaurants so if you fancy a change there's loads of choice within walking distance
