The hotel is part of the stadium complex in Shanghai and as such the hotel feels a little out of the way as everything is taxi ride away. That said the hotel itself is lovely.
The room is a decent size and is decorated in neutral colours. The wardrobe is fine however there is a lack of drawer space - we were there 4 nights and had to leave some stuff in the case as we had nowhere to put it.
The bathroom has clean modern lines and nice tiling. It doesn't have a bath but has a huge walk-in shower, which is really powerful. The wall between the bathroom and the bedroom is glass so you can see straight in but there is a remote controlled privacy blind which is cool.
All the controls for the TV, lights and aircon are by the bed which is very convenient.
The beds are wonderful and there is a choice of pillow and linens can be changed every day if you wish.
Our room didn't have a view and faced the interior of the stadium but actually this was OK as it meant it was lovely and quiet and we didn't need our earplugs for a change.
Food - The buffet breakfast is the best one we had in China and the choice of tea mind bogling! We had room service one night which was really good. We also ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was beautifully presented and the service was excellent.
The bar had a great view over the stadium and the staff very attentive.
The pool and gym were great, as was the jacuzzi.
The only bug bear that I had was that they added a 15% surcharge to everything (laundry, room service, bar bills, restaurant) which made our bill upon check seem huge.
