Hotel Berulia is set on the side of a mountain directly beside the beach - there are a lot of steps to the beach and the nearest resort. The hotel was built in the late 1960's and was a 4 star hotel but is now a 3 star plus. All the rooms have been modernised and are very comfortable with good facitlites including air conditioning, satellite TV and power showers. The only reason I can see that this is not 4 star anymore is that the dining room and bar could do with a bit of updating updating. But they were both adequate and clean. The food in the restaurant was all very nice. A good and different selection everyday which was served by the chef directly who was always so proud of what they had made. The place had plenty of staff who were very hard working and spoke English some of them were friendly others just did their job but were not unfriendly. The Pool is quite small but clean and nice. The entertainment staff were very friendly and run a kids club and did morning water aerobics. The evening entertainment was quiet but good, Had a live band every other day and a kids disco and a quiz and other things. We had a really good time and is good for couples of most ages and families - as long as you don't mind steps!

The cleanliness of the Hotel was excellent, with maid service daily, location wise the Hotel was ideal, a view to die for!tip! ask for a sea view.
Most of the Hotel staff were friendly, but 1 or 2 couldn`t seem to be bothered to go out of there way to be helpful. The food was good some days then poor on others, continental breakfasts are no good for an egg and bacon lad from up north.
Entertainment was croatia style and was very entertaining the first time round, but not the second and third, although the bar was always open and a good place to chat with fellow travellers.
The pool is nice and there was always sun loungers available, also at the bottom of the Hotel grounds near to the beach there was a small restaraunt that served meals upto 18:00 everyday(part of Hotel)
The facilities at the Berulia included a Solarium, Gym,
Crazy Golf, and Pool
