The resort is a beautiful resort with beautiful restaurants and very little tourist shops (which is great). Fantastic bars to sit outside and take in the view. Lots of water sports and pedal boats if you just want to relax and take in the view. Plenty of boat trips to dubrovnik or other islands. Pebble beach.

Cavat pronounced Savat is a beautiful village which fronts on to a harbour, there are about 12 bars along the front and a few restaurants.
The locals and bar staff are really friendly, it’s an ideal place to have a quite drink and watch the world go by.
They also make a lovely sandwich at most of the bars, though one could eventually get fed up of ham and cheese
also a definite plus is that there isn't a disco in sight.
Would love to re visit this place again.

Cavtat beaches are all pebbles (some have nasty sea urchins, so beware!), with pedaloes and jet skis etc available at one end of the beach.
Entertainment in Cavtat town (a 10 minute shady waterside walk from the hotel) is all local folk groups/dance troupes/childrens' choirs etc. Lots of bars/restaurants to choose from, and you can sip your drink and ogle the multi million pound yachts moored along side you! Travelling to other places e.g. stunning Dubrovnik by ferry boats is part of the fun.
Visits to smaller offshore islands are also great - including lunch and onboard musicians! Very laid back, very relaxing.

Quite a small resort, but has what you need.
There is a lovely loop walk you can do that offers spectacular views.

The resort itself was lovely and clean with the harbour area filled with lush tropical plants and small restaurants and bars. One of the main bonuses is the transfer time from the airport to resort - 5 mins door to door! There isn't a beach to speak of just areas with pebbles or concreted areas near the waters edge where you can put your beach towels. You can go on many trips but a lot of them involve long coach journeys. We took a boat from Cavtat harbour (£6.00 return - 40 mins) to Old Dubrovnik and had a wonderful day there. If you turn left on entering the old town you can go up the stairs to start the walk round the city walls (£3.00). Don't arrive too late though as it gets very hot with very little shade. A fascinating place to visit. We also went to the Nevreta Delta which was a fun day out and had another day out on a boat visiting three islands with a superb fish picnic on board. The rest of the time we walked round town stopping for lunch and sampling the local brandy!

Cavtat is an idyllic resort which was clean and very hospitable - the views are stunning - the bay is surrounded by mountains and is heavily populated with pine trees which give off a beautiful aroma. The beach consists of rocks and concrete hardstandings and were always clean and tidy. I would definitely visit the resort again.

Cavtat is an extremely clean small fishing village. Everything centres around the harbour with plenty of cafes and restaurants.
Parts can be hilly.
A quiet relaxing resort, good for travelling to Dubrovnik.
Would not recommend to people hoping to go clubbing.

Cavtat is beautiful. The views from our balcony at the Albatros were wonderful, you could see right across to Dubrovnik and the sunsets were stunning. It is a village, so not a lot of entertainment, but you could get a bus or boat to Dubrovnik (about 12 miles away) for more lively pursuits. Just a small pebbly beach, but hey who needs beaches with such stunning scenery and plenty of room by the pool? Would I visit again? Yes please, when can I go?

Cavtat is a beautiful village. It's as clean as a whistle - I don't remember seeing a piece of litter or dirt on the streets of Croatia the whole time we were there. There are several little shops and restaurants in Cavtat which are very nice and very cheap. It is totally unspoiled.
A short bus or boat ride will take you to the old city of Dubrovnik. There's plenty to see and the buildings & cafes remind you of Venice without the over-inflated prices.
This is a place you have just got to visit. It's a great holiday!

The town of Cavtat is small and based on a harbour. There is no beach. It is a boat ride away from Dubrovnik and about a 45 minute drive. The people are very friendly. Food is average and not cheap. It's a quiet town and good for older couples relaxing, definitely no lager lout scene.
