It is a quiet resort in June but was starting to get busy as we were coming home. It is only a 5 minute bus ride from Makaska if you are looking for livlier night life, though I must say it is beautiful down at the marina in the evening. There are many wonderful places to eat on the front and a few lovely bars. There are a good selection of shops, supermarkets and even a bank.

The Resort was very well organised, with plenty of restaurants and bars along a strip where the beach is...that is really the town. There is even a Disco called the Michigan. And if you go to the Dalmatia Rosti look out for the sign on the road....because I did it for them!!!! There is a harbour at the end, where you can relax and have a beer etc.
The beach was very, very pebbly however, and people had to wear 'jellies' to protect their feet. However the water was really beautiful...great for scuba diving. It was also very calm and it was lovely lying on a lilo (essential buy I hasten to add) and float out towards the islands (if your not careful) Great for watersports...the lot!
I really liked Croatia. People were not grovelly or false like they are in other places I have been. If they like you, they like you. They people have had a hard time of it in the past, and are trying to build back up their tourist economy. They have worked really hard to get things back on track, with little money or time.
If you go...YOU HAVE TO VISIT DUBROVNIK. Its a lovely day out, beautiful city even though it took a bit of a bashing during the war! If you can, try to spend an evening there. Thats something we missed out on.
I would visit Croatia again anytime...the hotel Alga has a gym, indoor swimming pool etc, even an internet cafe (if a little slow), and everything is really reasonably priced in the town (at least until 2007). I would have to say the 2 weeks we spent here was Excellent value for money!
