The Hotel was very nicely presented, and the pool area was not too crowded, (for high season). The room was nice although we did have two balconies one facing the tennis court and the other facing the sea. the room was compact nicely decorated and clean. The location of the hotel was quite good you were not too close to the square, you could walk into the busy area and walk out, although this did take about 20 mins. The hotel food was ok and you can ask for a childrens menu in the evening which we didnt know till the second week. I wish we had known men had to wear long trousers in the evening for dinner, as my husband only took one pair to travel home in and had to wear them when we ate in for most of the holiday. If i had known this i would have packed accordingly. We found the staff friendly and helpful. The entertainment was not fantastic so we did go for walks in the evening. We would definitely visit again. Cyprus is quite expensive compared to other holiday destinations so would go all inclusive again.

My wife, daughter and son in law stayed at the Anmaria. The hotel is spotless, maid service every day, sheets changed every other day. Daily towel change. Air conditioning was ideal and room was very comfortable.
The pool area was excellent with sun beds always available. The food was quite good, obviously a fair amount of repetition but there was always something we liked and we had no complaints. The staff were mostly cheerful and helpful although some were obviously inexperienced. The manager was very polite and checked constantly that his guests were happy.
Not a lot in the entertainment stakes for adults or children. One of the reps parted company whilst we were there. We enjoyed the holiday and would go back.

waiter pervd onto my daughter even tho told she wasnt interested,he resorted to phoning our room at all hours!!!!reported to manager who promised to keep him away during our stay but was there during the rest of our stay. Other staff were okay.
no provision at all for kids of any age so hard to keep them ocuppied especially as we had our 2 year old with us. booked extra nights stay during booking process, tel hellenic to confirm twice before we took holiday & was assured this was o.k. the hotel knew nothing about this and was overbooked anyway.rep did nothing about this just offered us a late checkout at another apt instead for the

We have stayed in the Anmaria twice now & are going back again this Summer Its the best holiday hotel that I have stayed in. Its very clean & carpeted throughout.
The pool & gardens are such that you cannot help but relax big time & there is usually a nice warm sea breeze which feels really good.
We have always found the staff very friendly & are amazed that we hear of the problems some have encountered as we have had only very happy times there.
The food is adequate but not brillant although the breakfast is fine with as much as you can eat but the evening meal although ok is much of a muchness which seems to give a variety that is very much the same each day.
If we had younger children we would not stay there as there is not much for them & the evening entertainment does not suit us but if you are in Ayia Napa there is so much to do The location for us is fine we can be in the square area within 10 minutes & there are plenty of bars & restuarants not too far away.
Although the beach next to the hotel is rocky on the sea side a plesant short walk in either direction along the waters edge will bring you to an excellent beach I look forward to many more happy holidays at the Anmaria.

flew with ths cook, flights okay. first impressions hotel looked sound-until i checked in!!! rooms were overbooked, we were placed next to a lift, no air-conditioning(the manager said it was to cool) balcony door broken. when we complained the staff were unhelpful and rude. we complained to the rep straight away but to no avail. the food at lunch was off a bar menu which was exc. this however changed on day 3 to a buffet which was terrible. night buffets were just as bad, but i expected this. there was a perv waiter who really got on our nerves and at one point a guest was going to go for him-nothing was done!! no entertainment to talk about, no sauna, steam room etc. all in all a very disappointing hotel which really could be exc. with a little effort. we have stayed many times in ayia-napa but be assured this is one hotel we will never visit again!!

this was my first visit to ayia napa which is fantastic and shall return to again soon! but probably shall not be returning to the anmaria again. overall the hotel was spotless, rooms cleaned everyday and the pool area kept tidy all the time. the rooms were lovely and spacious and the sea view was fantastic.
i was very disapointed with the food, very little choice, pretty much the same everynight. i refused to eat breakfast as it was always undercooked, thank god for the breakfasts served in the dutch pub round the corner!! oh yeah and i also found a woodlouse in my onion soup one night and the hotl manager did bugger all about it, infact he was very rude and we had many arguements with him, but head chef was very helpful and offered to cook any meal of my choice, shame i was feelin a little sick from the bug.
The location was brill!! only 10min walk to the bars so was close enough to stumble home and also far away from the noise of bars, beach by hotel was nice 2.
apart from the manager bein a complete arse and the restaurant manager bein a perv, the rest of the staff were very nice.
entertainment? what entertainment? bingo and karaoke was about it, and a few videos in the day 2 amuse the kids.
if the food was nicer i would def return to the anmaria, but i dont c the point in payin 4 half board if the breakfasts are un eatable and the tea borin as hell.

This Hotel is new for 2002,The Hotel was everything i asked for in the aspect of clenliness, location, accomidation etc..., but the food was definatley not 4 star ( the hotels offical rating ), ther was little choice and it tasted the same every night!!,The entertianment was near to none existent on my stay there, but it was about to change as i was leaving, with something different every night, but do bear in mind the hotel had only been open for 3wks when i went, (early july 02), all in all i had a brilliant stay at the Anmaria and will be returning in the future

I have been to Cyprus many times, my parents are Cypriots. This was my first visit with my wife and our kids, all four of them! (from previous marriages). Arrived at the hotel at midnight after out flight was delayed by nearly 3 hours, in the middle of a powercut (NOT the hotels fault) BUT only one torch available! The holiday rep dropped us off and disapeared. The Manager didn't seem to care. We couldn't get into our room. The kids got into theres ok, but we had to stay on another floor. There was no drinks available at all, we had to walk down the road to get some. The Manager offered nothing!!!.....The Manager obviously had never been on a customer service course as he NEVER spoked to us the next day, he was just VERY rude the night before and to top it all there was NO EMERGENCY LIGHTING AT ALL, so the hotel was in total darkness!
We tried to forget it all the following day after the bad start, the staff were excellent, especially the Restaurant Manager Christos...The down sides to the hotel are the food, VERY little selection and the same desserts for two weeks! The so called entertainment was not what I would expect from a four star hotel. Bingo, Quizes, and showing movies. The so called Games room, was a massive room, with only one table tennis table and for games machines, only one worked! It was big enough to house 3 full size snooker tables! The whole hotel lacked atomosphere.
On the good side, the staff were helpful, the rooms cleaned everyday, the whole hotel was VERY clean. The pool was great!....and did I mention the staff were helpful?...I think I better mention it again!
Reading this makes the holiday sound awful, but believe me, it wasn't that bad at all.....but wouldn't go to the Anmaria Hotel again, BUT will go back to Cyprus again and again.
