An all in package for Christmas. The rooms were lovely and warm, light and airy, rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day, the food was fantastic, the location was very central. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

I visited the Grecian Sands Hotel for my friend's wedding which took place in the Pavillion overlooking the beach - WOW it took my breath away. The ceremony was short (good in 32 degrees heat) and the facilities and food laid on by the hotel were excellent.
The hotel is big enough situated on Grecian Sands Beach on the road out of Ayia Napa. It is on a slight hill, with direct access to the beach and a supermarket opposite. The rooms are spacious - fantastic beds you could easily sleep 4 in a double!! We had a sea view room which is well worth the extra supplement.
You can walk to the centre within about 10-15 mins or pay CYP

We stayed at the Grecian Sands Hotel in May 2005 as we were getting married there. The Hotel itself was spotless. Couldn't fault the cleanliness of it. The Room we had was a seaview room as we got a free upgrade as we had our ceremony at the hotel. It was lovely and big and the balcony was big too which was nice. The bathroom was nice, the shower wasn't brilliant as it was one of those ones attached the bath taps so wasn't that stong - but still did the job.
The Pool was lovely and big, we always got a sunbed as you had to put your towel out BEFORE you had your breakfast as otherwise the German occupants grabbed them up. The pool bar food was lovely - although very pricey but was expected from a four star hotel. The waiters there weren't always pleasant - they expected a tip for asking for just a bottle of water from the bar and didn't looked pleased when we sent a toasted cheese sandwich back as the cheese was still frozen.
I would definately recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to get married in Cyprus. We found it was set up for weddings more than its sister hotel the Grecian Bay (which the rest of our family stayed at). The manager was very helpful and you could always knock on his door any time of the day if you had any amendments to your arrangements for your big day.
The only bad thing I can say about this hotel is the lack of Entertainment and the location for those with mobility problems. There was live music nearly every night but this was mainly for those using the bar as their evening reception so when this was on the rest of the hotel's residents didn't feel it appropriate to go in there so it was only really wedding parties that used the bar in the evening.
Would go back to this hotel sometime in the future but would probably be looking for somewhere a bit closer to the resort centre.

Ayia Napa is known for it's lively party atmosphere, Grecian Sands is 10 minutes from teh busy area so you can either have a relaxing break or you can party all night and come back to chill out and charge the batteries.
The hotel is in an excellent location where you can enjoy the best pool I have ever seen with a built in jacuzzi and water fountain, you can get a deck chair at any time, there are lilo's to use if you want them, safe for kids with a poolside waiter to keep you topped up with drinks, if you want to go to the private beech take ten steps due south and you are there.
I was married in the chapel in the hotel grounds and the staff could not have been nicer, if you are thinking of marrying abroad this hotel is fantastic for it.
All in all it's got to be one of the best hotels on the med, if you have booked and are reading this before you go, relax, you made a great choice.

We got married here in 2001. The earliest year I could pick for the review was 2004. Anyway.
The rooms were kept spotless.
We only had breakfast in the hotel; but that was always excellent and plentiful.
The staff were great and very helpful.
Entertainment was almost non existant, but you don't go to Ayia Napa for the hotel's entertainment. I seem to remember that the hotel over the road had great night time entertainment so we went there on occasion.
The chapel on the hotel's grounds was perfect for our wedding ceremony, nice and cosy and very personal. The vicar used was a real nice guy too.
The private beach area next to the hotel isn't really a beach, it's just a sandy area next to the hotel. But don't let this put you off - you only have to walk a few yards down some shallow steps and you're right at the water's edge on the beach proper.
We went as a group of 10 and spent most of the day time on the private beach eating and drinking. Then out at around 7pm for pre dinner drinks in the hotel's bar before moving off towards the centre of Ayia Napa for something to eat.
It should be mentioned that the street that the Grecian Sands is on has the best hotels and restaurants in the area. The other thing worth mentioning is that the beach in front of the hotel has no rocks in the water. As you go towards the town centre (and harbour area) you get more rocks in the water.
The Grecian Sands' sister hotel (the Grecian Bay is a few hundred metres closer to the centre but is mainly used by Germans.
If we ever go back to ayia napa we'd probably go back to the Grecian Sands, but as we've been to ayia napa about 5 times now, it's unlikely that we'll go back for some time.
We've noticed that it's steadily got quieter over the last few years and the atmosphere isn't as good as it once was.

This was our 4th Visit to the Hotel since getting Married there in 2000. We visited this year with our 2 year old. As ever the Staff were fantastic paying personal attention to us. The Food was very good, Great buffet breakfast ranging from Fruit & yogurt to Bacon, eggs the works !!!
Rooms are cleaned every day.
There is Live entertainment most evenings in particular the Friday BBQ is very good. Free cocktails in the bar to start the evening too.
Location is great, say a 15 minute walk from the main 'Square' in Ayia Napa located just above a beautiful beach with steps directly from the hotels immaculate gardens. The pool was completely renewed in 2003 and is one of the best i have seen, with Jacuzzi and Water tower.
Highly recommend visiting. They also conduct Wedding at the hotel too either in the Chapel in the grounds, Inside the Hotel, or on a DEsck overlooking the Med !

Top class Hotel, about 20 mins stroll into the centre of Ayia Napa - just long enough to walk off a beer or two but not too far that you need a new pair of shoes every time you go out.
I couldn't fault a single thing about the Hotel (apart from the light outside our room which didn't work the first night but was promptly fixed).
Excellent view of the beach/sea, especially if you are on the higher levels, and the bed was about 7ft wide!!.
The pool is excellent and even has a Jacuzzi at one end.
We stayed there for 3 weeks, and would go back in a flash. Plenty of parking if you hire a car (which you should if it's your first trip - loads to see !!)
Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We got married whilst we were there (at the town hall - fabulous day) and managed to get the outside patio restaraunt for our reception. The wedding co-ordinator (included in our holiday price) was 1st class, very professional, and made helped make our wedding day as good as it was.
The only slight quibble I would have is the price to stay there - but as they say, you get what you pay for.
Top class hotel, fabulous location and extremely good staff.
p.s. They do waffles by the pool at 3pm - no good for the diet but absolutely gorgeous.
