Location
However we had a great 2 weeks at The Pavlo Napa. The rooms are quite small but as we spent most of the time by the pool or on the beach it was not of great concern. The maid service was good and I don

The reception area was out of this world and thats were it ends. Genna who was Thomas Cooks rep was on hand when you needed her. On the board it said when she was available and when at hotel she would sit at pool side so you knew she was there were other reps just sit at reception waiting for you to go to them.
ROOMS:- They were small and cramped they are meant for 2 people and as we were a family of 4 they squashed our 2 single beds together and thru in 2 make shift beds in for the kids. The air con was broke for 2 days and my it was hot, give them there due it was fixed 10 mins after I reported it.
FOOD:- The food was mainly aimed at the European lot ie Slovaks, Russians, Germans every 3rd/4th night it catered for the British. They DID NOT cater for children like they say they do, and you have to pay for the snacks which consist of crisps and certain lollies and ice creams you also have to pay for the small round tubs of ice cream were free thats all. The restaurant by the pool bar was spot on that was beautiful, there only downfall is they don't like you ordering to much food and as your British and we love our scran we try to eat what we've paid for. We had to eat out 4/5 times over our holidays, but we did find a lovely restaurant called the ACROPOLIS on Nissi Ave the service there was 4/5 star service, they made you feel very welcome and loved my son.
ENTERTAINMENT:- That was a joke it was the same thing from one week to the next, ie Elvis every sat, karaoke every Thurs, dancers every Wed etc etc etc. Twice the entertainment didn't turn up and when it did it was over a hr late. As the hotel was mainly Russians, Germans and Slovaks they retired for the night about 10.30 every night so you could tell who were British as we were the ones up till 12pm.
The deep sea diving team who are based at pool side are a lovely bunch of fellas. Colin went in the pool a lot with my son an was teaching him to swim and Oliver put the diving equipment in the pool so he could have a go, and Johnny at the pool bar was also lovely took time out to talk and his son Joe visited at weekends and played with the other kids.
Hygiene there was awful the day we arrived someone pooped in pool toilets and it was still there the day we left 14 days later. It also happened in hotel main toilets but management cleaned that up 24 hrs later.
Friends we met there had a cockroach problem they complained at reception and all they were given was a bottle of spray and told that would kill them.
All in all would I come back to Pavlo Napa NOT IN HELLS CHANCE.
PS Notice to all parents DO NOT smack or shout at your children I did and I was refused service by a certain waitress, who went on through the holiday forgetting our drinks or making us wait nearly an hour for our drinks and any one who was talking to us.

The staff are very friendly and efficient. The whole hotel is spotless. The location right by the beach is good, but the rooms allocated to T/Cook guests seemed to suffer from noise from the bars accross the street which do not always close at midnight as we were told and seem to go on until between 01.00-0130am most nights.
Entertainment is poor/finishes early or seems non existant some nights and lets this hotel down. One night we had a quiz for over an hour and the winner won a cup of sweets. Or "entertainment reps" miming badly to pop records.
Either way finished most nights by 10pm.

The rooms were nice, but a very tiny balcony with no view spoilt it a little.
We found the location perfect as it was a walk from our pool straight onto the beach, and just a short taxi ride to the centre of Ayia Napa.
Staff were always friendly and helpful and the maids were very good.
The food was very nice but could of done with a bit more variety - fed up of chips by the end of the week!
Daytime entertainment was brilliant during the day- water polo, pool comps, killer darts, etc, but boring at night as in the whole week there was only 1 live singer and that was it!
The best thing about this hotel is the pool, it's really big, loads of sunbeds. Would definitely go back its brilliant!!!!!!!!

The Pavlo Napa was an excellent choice. It was the perfect location a couple of KMs from the town. The beach right next to the hotel was the best one we saw .I'd read on a review that you had to pay for the hotel pool sunloungers which was incorrect.
The food was excellent-huge buffet breakfast, lunch at the pool bar with excellent salads or grills and amazingly quick service even when every table was full.We had never been all inclusive before and are now never want to do anything else.Evening meals were again buffet style with excellent choice. Little variety for vegetarians which my daughter is but she was happy with rice, salads and veg .
The pool bar staff were great and you could have whatever you wanted to drink all day long including cocktails. The rooms were great, we were in the building separate from the main hotel but requested a sea view and it really did'nt make any difference being in here. The room was very spacious and had excellent air con. The bathroom was very new and kept spotless each day with an abundance of towels supplied.Small balcony but we never needed to use it.
The entertainment in the hotel was average. The 2 entertainers were a great couple, dutch girl and guy. For little kids there wasn't much organised for them during the day. If your kids want a good kids programme then you may be disappointed. In the evenings they had some cypriot dancers which were a bit boring but also karaoke and singers which were good.
Perfect place if you want a lovely place to enjoy during the day with a choice of a relaxing evening in the bar with friends that you meet or lively nightlife in Ayia Napa nearby.
Highly recommend it and it is much better than the photos portray.

We could'nt fault the hotel cleanliness through out the hotel and the room was lovely and clean with clean towels which is changed 7 times a week and bedding which was changed 3 times a week.
The hotel food was excellent with a good choice of food.
The cyprus theme night was good with live music whilst eating.
The hotel location is very good as the hotel is litrally on the beach with local water sports and facing the hotel there is a mini supermarket.
The hotel staff were lovely e.g barbara the receptionist was lovely. They all will help you as much as they can.
The dining staff was lovely who help with all your needs.
The entertainment is supplied by one stop entertainment which were good but only if you get involved I would visit this hotel again and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the island *****

We were in the annexe but facing the sea. I can see a concern if you were to be facing onto Nissi Avenue as several bars are opposite and go on until the early hours.
Food was excellent. Plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner. Lunch is taken at poolside restaurant. Whilst good, we found lacked choice and being the same every day was boring.
Entertainment varied from average to very good.
Staff in all areas were eager to help and it would be difficult to single anyone out for special praise.
Facilities are good but a concern was the gym, whilst there was always someone on duty and it was well equipped no check was made that you had any experience of using the equipment. Anyone not having used one before could cause themselves injury.
The indoor pool was little used whilst we were there. The outside pool was busy with lilos creating problems for anyone just wanting to swim. Finding a sunbed could be difficult if you were not down early and, whilst it is named as a beach hotel, you do have to pay for beds there. Every afternoon there were pool games that again caused problems and the water polo ball could be painfull when it hit you.
When we arrived the aircon did not work but a word with reception and it was fixed the next day.
There is a childrens club run by the hotel at 'no charge' with activities that seemed to suit the kids that were there during our stay.
Would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday at this time of year but from what I was told it is very lively during July/August.

The breakfasts were aimed mainly at the europeans - Germanic mainly - but the rest of the food was perfect and there was plenty of choice for both lunch and dinner. Lots to drink but fairly limited in selection but the wine was realy good.
The adult entertainment was poor apart from one night, but for children, although repetative seemed they enjoy it.
More thought needed to go into planning and preperation.
Definitely four star would go back again
