Beaches

we stayed in coral bay which had a realy nice beach nearby, although a lot of other beaches in paphos were realy rocky. The places we visited in coral bay and paphos town were all realy clean and there was always something to do or somewhere to go for a change ,plenty of shops bars restaurants etc. Enjoyed every minute would definately go back again.

The resort was small, clean and the local transport good.
The beaches were poor, although the original Coral Bay beach was clean.Because of its small size it soon became crowded however, and when leaving the beach we could not find a water tap to wash the sand from our feet, a small point I know, but important.

Coral bay was pleasantly surprising, and had a great deal more restaurants and bars than I was expecting. The only thing lacking was a nightclub of the clothed variety! After 1a.m. everything was pretty much shut and this was middle of August. Bar Street in Paphos easily accessible but getting home by taxi could prove expensive and dangerous if you've seen the driving!
There were a range of cocktail bars and lots of big screens around with SKY TV, but not much else in the form of entertainment. A new mini-golf and arcade has added much for children and young teenagers.
beach was heaven and the reason that people who stay in other resorts come to Coral Bay. reasonable sunbed hire and lovely sea with plenty of watersports, although these were pricey.
I look forward to returning to Coral Bay in the future and hope that it doesn't get too commercialised.

Beach seemed a bit dirty but sand good for kids and sea nice and warm with a gentle increase in depth. Coral Bay large enough to have enough restaurants for a fortnight stay but not too brash or noisy. Kids enjoyed it

Coral Bay was nice but the original coral bay is full of local teenagers and made us feel a little uncomfortable. The area on a whole was Ok. The Bars on the strip had very friendly staff who made you feel welcome.

Coral Bay was suitable for our age group not too lively and had enough bars, restaurants also shops to go to. Hotel was only 5-10 min walk away, also bus stop nearby. The resort was very clean and loved the new houses they were building... I would love to live here when I retire!! The beaches are lovely although rocky.

Coral bay area itself had a good selection of shops etc. But once you had seen it twice that was about it.
Paphos was also really good.
We went to a restaurant called 'fat mamas' just on the road into paphos which was amazing.
The beach near the hotel was rocky and not the kind for relaxing on.. we ventured further a field and found an ok beach further along which we thought was the infamous coral beach. We later found out it was not!! so we are still not sure if this was or wasn't.
All in all the holiday was good and a break!

The location seemed very remote with one small row of shops and few restaurants.
Resort was filthy - there was rubbish on the roads and on wasteground. A lot of building work is in progress which makes the surrounding areas not very pleasant.
On our walk to Coral Bay beach the pavement was littered with rubbish and the bus stop was surrounded with an inch deep of cigarette butts and drinks containers.
The beach was a disgrace and the immediate coastline to our Hotel was just rock and shingle with no beach!

The sandy beach is sandy in places but not sand coloured, its a dark building sand with a lot of stones, not great for walking on and impossible to walk on in bare feet. The beach looks better from a distance. There is a nice jetty and harbour area though and the hotel is well located for dramatic sunsets over the sea. The pools are good and well maintained, the sunbeds comfortable and there is a good sea breeze to cool you down.
