I agree with other comments about this hotel, definitely not a 4 star hotel. Well below average, more like a 2-3 star.

We also chose all inclusive for 3 days food was appalling, breakfast was passable.

The hotel was not particularly busy, end of September but I found the service bad, as though staff thought it was an effort to assist or serve you.

A deposit required for TV remote, safety deposit, air con, everything that a 4 star normally provides and has available anyway, hairdryers, hire it, it was ridiculous.

We chose 4 star and paid 4 star price but recieved 2-3 star accomadation.

Location was good, close to shops and bars but that's about it, about 20 minute walk to Nissi beach.

Where do I start?

First of all this hotel is a very clean and attractive complex which is near the centre of Ayia Napa!

There is a large pool which starts shallow at one end and gradually deepens to about 5ft, and then there is a small kiddie

Hotel location is ideal near small beach and 5 minutes walk to centre. Complex is very clean as are the rooms. Rooms are well equipped and the much needed air conditioning is free of charge during July and August a small deposit is required for the remote control for the air conditioning.

Although We were self catering we opted to go all inclusive for 3 days at a cost of

Fourth time in Ayia Napa, second time at the Thalassaki (like the area so much that we stay in the (acceptable) Euronapa Apartments about 200 yards away if we can't get in here).
Apartments are clean and roomy and well stocked in comparison to some others i.e. Kettle, toaster, quite a lot of (clean) kitchen equipment, which we never use! Air conditioning/TV is available at no extra cost (other than refundable deposit). Only charge is for Safe. The staff we encountered were polite and helpful, although we do not hang around the place other than to sleep and shower etc. We are not pool people, who wants to sit at the same pool day after day when there are so many different and beautiful beaches close by, so can't comment on any disruptive behaviour - we saw and heard none during our week. Only comment I can make is that it is my understanding that the Apartments are no longer Airtours exclusive.

As we snuck a week away at the last minute for a celebration - normally go for two - I must admit that we neither ate nor even drank in the complex (too many old haunts to visit) so can't comment in that respect.

As this was a celebration (our Silver Wedding) I had e-mailed ahead asking if possible we could have a first floor room with a balcony and sea view (there aren't that many with a sea view) away from the pool and if a bouquet of flowers could be arranged upon arrival. I received a reply from the Manager the following morning promising the flowers and to see what he could do about the room, flowers to be payable when we got there. Sure enough we were given the room we desired and there was a magnificent bouquet of flowers (which continued to bloom throughout our stay) awaiting us. Top Marks !!

Location get's top marks too. On Nissi Avenue mid-way between Liminaki Beach and Sandy Bay (each about 10-15 minutes walk away - C

Just got back today after 2 weeks basking in the sunshine. Hotel suites were nice and clean and adequate for whatever board you are in the hotel, with almost daily cleaning, we were given a room overlooking the sea.

The hotel offers 3 pools all of which are suitable for children and clean with daily activity of water polo in the afternoon in one. The poolside bar was friendly and a good source of social contact. Food was excellent at this location.

We were AI and found all the food to be of good quality however towards the end of our stay we found it repetative. Drinks were the same as paying customers and of good quality.

Childrens entertainment was poor, however the entertainment staff were trying to rectify this.
The weekly fire show is a must to watch.

I would definately opt to visit this hotel again. However I would make sure that I did a price search on the holiday. Some guests we met paid over

Just came back from the Thalassaki and it ws great. we have been going there for about 12 years and we go 3 times a year.
the hotel is in a great area and there are loads of happy and friendly people there. We have friends over in cyprus and they are all very nice people. Hello to kyriakos, yiannis and george of the Napa Star inn and nikitas Restaurant.

Excellent friendly hotel in a great location.

We stayed in July and it was Hot! But the large pool kept us cool.

It is suitable for all types of individuals, families, groups and couples.

The busy bars are only 5 mins away and the habour is a short walk away (10 mins).

We were very surprised with the high standard of the hotel as we booked it last min. It is a top 4* hotel, very clean and welcoming. We asked for a sea view which was excellent. Waking up every morning to see the beach and blue sea was brill and really got you in the holiday mood.

Just returned from Thallasakki 20-07-05. Stayed for 1 week.

Excellent standards of cleanliness throughout our stay maids working very hard, and staff out to please at all times. Special word of praise to entertainers Leon, Mellisa and the Sheffield lad Ian, all 3 worked hard to make things happen.

Lovely pool, enough sun beds to go round.

Stayed in ground floor studios overlooking the sea. Airtours portrayed this accommodation as suitable for families and couples, this being a major factor in my booking this accommodation, for myself and 14 yr old daughter. So why then do Airtours take bookings of all male and all female parties with as many as 12 people in these groups. The presence of such groups caused uproar during my stay.

There was a need for the hotel to have 2 security men patrolling the grounds throughout the night due to these groups, I will highlight a few situations which occurred. While swimming in the pool with daughter and probably another 20 people approx 18-30 I observed a youth aged approx 18 stood on the side of the pool, exposed himself and urinated into the pool. I shouted at this youth to stop and was greeted with a torrent of abuse, and roars of laughter from his friends. I found this totally offensive and disgusting. I have worked and travelled extensively over the years all over the world and not witnessed such behaviour.

The following day the self same mob decided to proceed drinking early morning and taking over the children's pool, stopping access to kiddies using pool. Total absence of any presence of management while this went on all day. We were treated to males removing their swim wear and running about naked, obscene language being shouted, and a case where a guy put his fist through a patio door at 04-30 hrs waking all and sundry. I would hazard a guess that every apt on that complex was woken at one time or another by this rabble.

Accommodation superb, hotel management very weak, Airtours obviously don't give a toss by putting these people in this accommodation which they portray as family and couples orientated.

Lots and lots of disgruntled clients staying in this accommodation some having been 2-3 times previously.

Wake up airtours and put things right. Oops sorry it's a business thing ie bums on seats. Well it won't be mine in future.

Arrived at this complex at 12.30 in the morning, very tired but looking forward to a great stay in these apartments.

Upon walking to our apartment, we were greeted by 3 drunken youths, mouthing off for no reason. All throughout the week we were there, large groups of lads and lasses 'took over' the pool area, bottles everywere, I thought this hotel was great for couples and families?? Far from it im afraid... the few families or couples we did see seemed as fed up as we were.

As for food, we ate out most of the time, but the catering facilities were very good, air conditioning was spot-on, entertainment wise, we went to the square every night, so can't really give a fair score for the Thalassaki, although there was something on every night and it looked good enough to cater for all tastes.

If you are a couple or are taking children here please be warned by the aformentioned issues as to me it looks like Airtours don't really care who goes here, which is a shame as the Thalassaki village / beach apartments offer a great base for a relaxing holiday.

Upon arrival we were greeted with large grups of drunken yobs jumping in the pool first impressions reminded me of an 18-30's resort.

As this holiday was sold to us suitable for couples and families I was really shocked to witness such behaviour.
As in regard to the accomodation you could not fault this it was clean.

Food was very good at dinner but we did not try the food in the restaraunt but was told it was very good.
The staff were very accommodating and they did move us after our initial arival as we were near the entrance and there was no way we could get any rest due to the noise from the young large groups.

During our stay the hotel had to hire sercurity to calm some groups down although we complained the Direct Holidays Rep/ Airtours rep didnt seem interested he over ruled managements decision to throw some groups out even though they were making other holiday makers life a misery.

We had to endure somebody urinating in the pool from the side foul language in front of young children and also these louts taking over the kiddies pool leaving the children stranded the rep was not interested.

If I knew it would just be families and couples I would go back tomorrow obvouisly Airtours/Direct Holidays arent bothered about ruining 4* standards.

This accomodation was in the ideal spot only 10 mins walk from the square and plenty around for you to do lively or quiet.
