It is nice to dress up a bit for dinner good excuse to push the boat out after slobbing around all day in shorts etc! Better to go to dinner a bit later to avoid the rush from the Avanti Village clients.
Always enough sunbeds and the gardens are lovely.
Entertainment is a bit dull could be better but you can take a lovely stroll to the harbour.

The hotel rooms were very clean and spacious, the beds were slightly hard and the air conditioning was not very good and boy did we need it!.
The hotel breakfast was pretty much the same everyday, and the cats were always there hovering for left overs, so don't sit outside if you don't like cats.
I would not have chosen to eat any more meals in the hotel as there were loads of restaurants to choose from in Paphos.
Just across the road from the hotel are a selection of bars(Pegasus bar-good for snacks and watching sports)Crocodile bar and the Black Rose. Restaurant I would recommend are FLAMBES-GOOD FOR STEAKS, MANHATTANS, FAT MAMMA'S(BIG PORTIONS).
Hotel is about 15mins from the harbour, just across the road is the beach (not brilliant) you can get the number 15 bus if you don't want to walk.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
Could always get a sunbed around the pool, lots of room on the grass.
There was entertainment going of all the time day and evening, but we went out every evening so we did not see anything.

The hotel had a large swimming pool set in extensive
gardens. We never had any problems obtaining sunbeds. The pool was child friendly with daily activities including water polo for both children/adults,archery and water aerobics women only.
We stayed bed and breakfast where we enjoyed the excellent choice of food full English and continental.
The hotel is situated approx 2 miles from paphos harbour which has is advantages being quietier however there is a good selection of local restaurants I recommend the sunbow, neopolean and for a special ocassion the Italian adjacent to the hotel entrance claiming to which I agree to be the best Italian in Paphos.
You cannot say anymore other than the staff were excellent.
We enjoyed the entertainment, where it was staged was
delightful, outside between two beautiful trees.
To visit paphos harbour was easy with buses stopping
outside 60/70 cents depending on the bus number.
And for returning the frequent taxis would charge 4/5 pounds.

The staff were friendly and helpful and also plentiful. No rubbish, empty glasses etc lying around for very long. All areas were immaculately kept. Maid service every day, with towel change. Pool towels were also provided free of charge and could be changed daily.
The food was the best we've experienced in a hotel in Cyprus. Breakfasts were varied; cold meats and cheese, bacon, eggs, beans, fried potatoes etc. Cereals, fresh fruit, bread and croissants. Something for everyone. Dinner was buffet style and changed nightly. Soup, an array of salads and main courses. Sweets were traditional, mousse-type things (which were a little samey for my taste), cheese and biscuits and again fresh fruit.
The location was about 20 minutes walk from the harbour. You could walk down the main Avenue or cross the road where the winery is and walk along by the sea (much better and quieter than going by road - only in daylight mind!).
Entertainment was provided during the day by archery, water polo etc. Available if you wanted but not in your face. In the evenings it was provided by visiting singers etc, but to be honest we tended to go out after dinner and are never bothered by hotel entertainment.
We would definitely visit this hotel again if we visited Cyprus, but also recommended is the self-catering apartments to the rear of the hotel - The Avanti Village. We used their pool and it was fantastic. In fact we visited lots of other 4/5 star hotels in the area (including the v. posh Elysium next to Tombs of the Kings) and the Avanti Village's pool exceeded them all.
If you are going to this hotel you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

The Avanti Hotel is very well kept. Spotless. Just recently refurbished. Rooms were completely new with nice mediterranean colours.
Hotel has lovely gardens and an enormous pool area with always lots of space available and lots of sunbeds. Many activities taking place by the animators.
Location is ideal for walking to all the shops and restaurants and the Pafos harbour. Hope to return soon.

The hotel is very spacious with plenty of facilities to accommodate its 4* rating - though not convinced the bedrooms are of this standard, more of a 3*.
Rooms were cleaned daily and were well equiped, though could do with a lick of paint.
The hotel is next to the "triangle" which has numerous bars and restaurants, would highly recommend The Rib Shack and Ficardos. About a 10 minute walk away is bar street which has a vast selection of bars and clubs to cater for everyone.
Would definitely return to the Avanti in Paphos.

Hotel nice and clean, friendly staff, drinks are a little expensive but we did find this was the case around much of the resort.
Food at the Hotel was good, but I would reccomend B&B as there are litteraly hundreds of very nice places to eat out most within a short walk.
Plenty of things to do, just accross the road there are loads of water sports from jetski's to to banana boats, not much of a beach though.
All in all everyone had a great time and we would definatley stay at the Avanti Hotel again.

The Avanti has a superb pool which did't require "sunbeds at dawn". You could get 4 sunbeds and an umbrella at any time of the day (and it was July).
Our room was cleaned daily and the bed linen every 2/3 days. Our two teenage daughters were staying next door in their own room and hats off to the maid, she even cleaned up their mess daily!!
The swim up bar was excellent for a cooling beer mid afternoon.
The breakfast was the same every day but sufficient - the usual buffet stuff. We did try evening meal one night - it was OK but the choice of restaurants around the hotel was superb.
We didn't stay in the hotel much in the evenings - as usual the alcohol was ridiculously priced - but the few times we did the entertainment was the same as you'd get in any hotel - singers, dancers etc.
Overall a great hotel that I'd recommend to anyone.

There is a comment on Avanti holiday Apartments on this page which I think is wrong. You cannot have visited the Avanti holiday apartments last year as they were not open!
We noticed whilst we were there that a sister hotel must be opening very soon, I think in July 04 called the Avanti village. We visited this hotel and it was interesting to see it in its final stages. It looks fab! We may be going there next year as the apartments are spacious and the swimming area is enormous.

The pool and hotel were excellent.
We walked to the habour most night which took about 30 mins but it felt like only 5 mins as there were shops and resturants along the way.
I was quite nervous taking my 2 year old son but I couldn't have picked a nicer place to go.
I only have one complaint that the breakfast wasn't much to talk about. I think we had beans on toast every day.
