we have been to paphos 4 times now, in fact we were married there two years ago and love it. However if this had been our first time there we would not have returned.
the apartments were dirty, the pool was dirty, the staff tried there best but i would not recommend anyone to go here. in fairness it was a last minute cheap package but basic cleanliness would have been good.
lack of air conditioning in the middle of july was not good

I have been to the Leda Gardens twice now as I visit Cyprus annually. I LOVE IT!!!!! At the end of the day it boils down to the age old saying 'You get what you pay for'.
The holiday isn't expensive and so you wouldn't expect a 5* hotel with a la carte menu and concierge service! I love these apartments and would gladly live there. They have everything you need, the staff are the friendliest hotel staff i've ever met and the amenities are brill.
Oriental and BBQ nights were such a laugh as was quiz night where we won a ticket to oriental night. Good food available and happ hour made me very happy!! Paphos is the best resort in Cyprus and that is why we return annually. If you go at the time of the beer festival it is even better.
I recommend the Captains view, Lichnari, Ifigenia, Argo and The posh Indian Restaurant by the harbour. The best bar in Paphos is without a doubt the Atrium (restaurant here is also lovely. It's set out like a tropical oasis with fountains, birds and palms. It's lovely.
If you only go on one excursion make it Georges funbus he is a really good laugh and you'll have the time of your life. Make sure you go on Georges funbus and not any of the wannabe ones cos they're rubbish.
In summary Leda Gardens is lovely and if you go expecting tourist class apartments that's what you'll get. But a flipping good time.

Stayed here twice before, on the first morning, when the cleaners arrive, greet the cleaners with a big smile and a loud 'good morning' and they will look after you for as long as you are there. summary: If you don't treat people like slaves you get clean room/sheets for a fortnight.
Kiros and Nikos looked after the bar food, If you take the time to talk to Nikos, you will find he is a very good chef (as well as doing everything else) He cooked my partner and I a meal to die for (not on the menu)and only paid menu prices.
Okay the hotel appears to be out in the sticks when you first arrive, so you do get the night beasties paying you a visit, but you are in a hot country. Traffic noise can be a pain, but we cured it by having another drink for the road, so we all slept soundly.
Having been around a bit, I cannot think of a hotel that has friendlier staff. From the cleaners up, it seemed if you went out of your way to get to know them, they would always go out of their way to help with any problem or query, and made our holiday that much happier and organised.
Nikos lays on all of the entertainment during the evenings, I must admit we have gone out from the hotel most evenings, only coming back for the last hour, to a good atmosphere and happy faces.
yes, we will be going back to the leda, again and again, I think it has been said before but remember you only get what you pay for, as we do a lot of walking (walked all over Cyprus)we only paid for a bed, and was out and about during the day, I cannot see the point in going to a foreign country, and hanging around a hotel pool all day, you may as well go to Blackpool.

My main complaint about the Leda Gardens was the location. The brochure describes it as close to all amenities, but the leda is at least 2 milesfrom the harbourwhere all the main restaurants are. I certainly got fit, but wouldn't go back. Rooms are very basic, and privacy on balconies wasn't considered, however the staff were friendly and entertainment un obtrusive.

This hotel is on the main road into Paphos, and if you have a road facing apartment, you will be bombarded with road noise from 6:00am until after 12:00 midnight.
It's too noisy to keep windows open and there's no air conditioning. Our apartment was old, tired and had plaster falling from walls. We also suffered a water leak through the ceiling. It is approx. 3 km from harbour and most of shops/bars/restaurants, and while it is ok to walk there during day, unless you are really fit, you wouldn't want to do it again every night
Definitely would not recommend
