Have just returned from the Capo Bay for our wedding on 3rd August 07. Apart from one or two small hiccups the holiday was fantastic and the wedding in particular was absolutely perfect. I would happily advise anyone who was thinking about marrying abroad to go for it and would highly recommend doing it in this hotel.

Particular thanks must go to Tima with Cosmos, Katerina in the hotel and Fud in the hotel hairdressers all of whom were absolutely fantastic. All made the wedding totally stress free (we only spent around two hours in total organising it) and all seemed to know exactly what we wanted without much prompting from us. (A tip for all brides - go to the hotel hairdressers before you do anything as they did mine and four bridesmaids hair all beatiful for less than CYP150 - it will cost a lot more outside the hotel and they are also very entertaining!)

One small negative as others have said is how slow the staff at the poolside bar are - we waited one day for literally fifteen minutes for three pimms and lemonade (and we really couldnt see why it was taking so long) this and the particularly noisy maids in the morning were the only negative things in a great two weeks.

The location of this hotel could not be any better as is right in the middle of the strip (this meant that we didnt see any of the hotel entertainment) and also means that you dont have to make a decision about whether or not to go to the beach for the day as it is right there. Watersports off the beach with Stavros Watersports were also excellent and great value for money.

All in all i cant praise both the Capo Bay and Cosmos highly enough for making what could be a stressful time very pleasant and giving us all the holiday of a lifetime.

To sum it up, this hotel is amazing!! In the best location in Protaras. Right on Fig Tree Bay which is unique as there are no other hotels on what is probably the best beach in Cyprus.

The food was always lovely, had loads to choose from and to cater all tastes.

Better to buy alcohol from 'The Strip' as hotel bar is very expensive, but as this hotel is right near the strip too it's no hassle to do this.

Very clean rooms, and very friendly staff.

What more do you want?

We stayed at Capo Bay for 2 weeks commencing 27th May 2007, there were 14 of us staying for our wedding.

I cannot fault the hotel on cleanliness, location or the choice of food on B&B, we ate evening meal in the hotel on 4 evenings, 3 on the buffet and once on the A La Carte (this was free as part of our wedding package), the choice was always good, the menu is displayed on reception each day.

When we were there they had an offer on evening meals where you bought 6 vouchers for

We got married in this hotel in June 2007.

I cannot fault it at all, I would reccomend it to anyone.

The staff were very helpful especialy Katerina and Andreas. We were upgraded on arrival to superior sea view room which was very spacious the room was cleaned daily.

We had breakfast at the hotel which was big choice and had candlelit dinner one evening which was fantastic.

We were not in hotel much to see entertainment but what we did see was not great, but it is in such a central position there is plenty of other things to do.

We would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again, our wedding was amazing.

This was the 18th visit to the resort and to this particular hotel. They close every witer and complete any changes/building work at that time. On the few times it has over-run, they keep the work away from the main sunbathing times but will not do it early morning either!
The staff are amongst the best I have found anywhere in the world. To name some of them would be unfair to the rest.
The climate is eastern mediterranean, that means it gets hot! in the middle of the day/early afternoon, especially in August when temps of 40+ centigrade are normal. When we went in June it was a very comfortable 30ish (mid 90s) around 1-2pm. Air con is provided without extra charge in all rooms.
There is a tremendous variety of restaurants along the strip - make sure you try the local tavernas - if in doubt trya MEZE first - a sample of all the local dishes but I guarantee you'll be stuffed before you are finished.
Overall? Why ele do we keep going back?

The hotel location could not be better, actually over looking the beach and with alocated sun beds and fresh towels for the pool area each day for the two weeks we stayed there it was excellent.

The breakfast was second to none with a vast choice of good quality food to suit all tastes.

The rooms all have air conditioning and are cleaned daily.

My only disappointment was the pool bar staff who took an eternity to serve you even when there was no queues, we thought he had gone to crush the grapes him self for the wine, but overall the staff were helpful and friendly.

This was our first experience of both Cyprus and travelling with Eclipse and overall we had a very enjoyable holiday.

Despite all the problems at British Airports this August we were not delayed on outbound flight and even I have to say found it much easier without the mounds of hand luggage I normally cart around with us.

Flight outward bound was OK the usual cramped situation as any charter flight, transfer to Protaras was uneventful and the transfer time was under an hour.

The Capo Bay is billed as a four star hotel, in some aspects it lived up to the rating others not. The public areas were very clean as were our rooms, the maids work hard and sheets etc are replenished frequently. The locations is right next to the strip.

Our room seemed quite large to me even with two children in chairbeds (however they found these uncomfortable after the initial few nights). Bathroom large even though in need of some refurbishment.

Beach towels supplied and we did like the fact that our sunbeds were reserved for the duration of the holiday, unless you have very small children it did not cause any problems whether we were on top of the pool or not.

The lagoon style pool is adequate but gets very busy as they fit water polo in there as well. Beware the shallow part of the pool because suddenly very deep without any real signs to warn you.

The best pool is the rectangular diving centre pool. This was underused . However around the top inside of the pool the grime was clearly visible, you could write your name in there, also there were several cracked tiles which caused minor injuries.

Breakfast is quite good with plenty of selection. We never ate there in the evening but had a couple of lunches near the pool which were tasty however on the pricey side. Supermarkets are plentiful and we stocked up on drinks and stored them in the fridge in our room which was a decent size.

The entertainment at the hotel was OK, but once you have made a few friends anyway the evenings pass very quickly , and the background entertainment is fine.

Overall the hotel is good but personally I would like somewhere quieter

Hotel public areas were very clean, staff were brilliant, had fresh towels in the bathroom everyday & maid service everyday of the week.

There was a wide choice for breakfast, did not eat at the hotel as there was not much of a choice for vegetarians, which might be something you can look into.

Location of the hotel is very good, could not ask for more.
Was out most nights but on the few that we were in the hotel entertainment was ok.

Just returned from 2 weeks holiday in Capo Bay hotel.

It was the best holiday we have ever had.the hotel is spotless and rooms cleaned every day.the hotel has beautiful grounds. The hotel provides you with allocated sunbeds for the duration of your holiday, there is however a lot of beds around the pool and you do feel like there is no space between you and other families.

The rooms in the hotel are extremely basic and could definately do with updating.

We were shocked when we saw them and this was the only let down of the holiday.with regards to the rooms i would rate the hotel as a 3 star we stayed in a superior room and didnt find it superior at all.

The rest of the hotel I would say lived up to its 4 star rating. Location of the hotel is second to none, the view from the room was spectacular looking directly over Fig Tree bay.

The hotel was also just literally around the corner from all the bars and restaurants which too was excellent.

Great hotel and location but Protaros is a let down, the hotel is wonderful rooms are spotless and maid service really good.

The food for breakfast provides everything you would require includes chef doing the usual omletttes fried eggs etc,we only stayed b/b and was told that half board the evening meal was adequate but nothing to write home about?.

There are close beach bars who do lunchtime food, sit in or takeaway. The actual hotel bar is slightly exspensive especially fresh orange and soft drinks -use the supermarkets for soft drinks the fridge in the room and a cooler bag with ice blocks/plastic ones as the essential drinks can become really dear otherwise especially with children.

The sea here at the resort is crystal clear, not sure of the price of sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach,as we used the hotel beds which you keep for your complete stay[a great idea]."Avoid car park side of hotel noisy at night till early hours".
