After reading reviews before arriving at the Paschalia we were not sure what to expect, the hotel choice was down to Thomson late deal holiday, we only knew it was to be in Protaras. We had a brilliant time, the hotel was situated in Pernera, and nice and peaceful with bars, restaurants nearby.
The staff were all very pleasant , and made us feel very welcomed. Although we had no children with us we saw how popular Alex was with them and how some even cried when they had to go home, she certainly was very good at 'her job' and very friendly.
We only ate breakfast at the hotel and found this to be very good, and being later in the season we never had to queue for toast or coffee etc.The cleaning staff were also very efficient and friendly.

i) You won't get a cleaner hotel anywhere. Absolutely first class.

ii) Didn't eat in during the evening as plenty of local first class restaurants about the area but breakfast was probably better than the normal.

iii) Excellent. Close enough to amenaties without being too close

iv) Hotel staff were all brilliant. Cannot fault

v) Entertainment. Very good. The water Polo was a particular favourite and good laugh throughout.

We stayed bed & Breakfast, the breakfast being buffet style, good selection only maybe could do with investing in a couple of new toasters.

Hotel was extremely clean, great service from maids rooms kept immaculate all the time. Always someone cleaning around the pool and gardeners out every day.

Although we were B & B we used the windmill terverna for meals during the day but never tried the Pavillion Restaurant in the evening. Daytime menu at the Windmill Treverna great with an excellent selection for both adults and kids.

The location of the hotel is OK especially if you like a nice walk in the evening after your meal down to Protaras but if not there is a bus or taxi

Hotel staff were fantastic all very friendly, best bit were the Thomson Kids Club Reps, Chelle and Sarah, our little boy Harry (3) loved it even though usually he is shy, the especially loved the majic show. Alex the resident entertainer was fantastic she really did work hard keeping all entertained right from the start of the day throgh to the end of the evening and even after her long day was always cheery.

The evening hotel entertainment was a little limited but OK, and there were screen for all you Football Lovers out there

This is the second time we have visited the hotel once before in 2001 (before children) and again and we will definitely be visiting again hopefully next year. Great for both families and couples

Thank You All for a great holiday.

The Paschaila Hotel is in excellent condition in all areas, the rooms are impecible, always with fresh towels and regular change in bed linen.

The food was very good, there was always a good range of what you could have including the occasional BBQ for the evening meal.

It is well located as its only about a 5-10 min walk to the center of Protaras. It is close to Ayia Napa if you go for the night life, but not so close that you can hear all thats going on.

All of the staff are very friendly and helpful and very well speaking all languages.

The entertainment is good fun for kids and adults with regular night time shows, during the day for kids there are pool side discos and games including volleyball, football, table-tennis and water polo matches. For adults there are always a range of bar games (which are also suitable for the kids) and sports matches. The 'One stop entertainment crew', Chloe and Alex are always helping out with what you want to do during the day at the hotel.

It is definitely a place I would like to stay again.

The hotel was clean, well presented and the staff helped create a warm, friendly atmosphere. The breakfast could have been better as far as the hot food was concerned but there was a good range of alternatives like cereals, fruits & yoghurts on offer.

The hotel was in a great position as it had plenty nearby shops and facilities & was near to a selection of smaller coves & beaches but also within walking distance of the main resort & beaches in Protaras.

Room service was offered with a nice selection of hot & cold snacks and drinks and were always delivered promptly after ordering by the friendly staff.

As the hotel rooms were fully air conditioned, this offered a welcome break from the extremely hot cypriot sun.

As we did not spend a lot of time in the pool area i cannot really comment too much about the entertainment offered although there did seem to be plenty going on for both adults and children alike. This area was also well maintained and clean including the beach style bar.

Hotel was clean & staff very accommodating. Food was good ( only B&B ).

Pool area was clean & tidy, however, the pool was very deep.

Bar areas were pleasant & service good. There was a rush for prime sunbeds around the pool, if you didn't get one for 8am then you had no chance!!

Entertainment was geared for kids. There were some nights for adults but tended to be either bingo or male vocalist. We often went into Protaras or Ayia Napa for somthing a bit more lively.

Location was good, not in the main area of Pernera or Protaras. We found this ideal at times as there was no noise late at night.

The Paschalia is located in Protaras; it is nominally a three star hotel, but the standard of cleanliness pushes it closer to four star. We stayed for 2 weeks and throughout this time, the room was kept clean every day, with regular changes of bed linen and towels.

Our stay was B&B; the breakfast was buffet-style, catering for an English palate, but good none-the-less, and substantial. The hotel did offer an evening meal option, bookable for 7 nights or 14; we opted for 7 nights, which could be chosen at any time, to give us the opportunity to try out the local restaurants. The cost was very reasonable, but make sure to choose the buffet/carvery-style nights, which offer more choice.

The location of the hotel was ideal for us, with respect to quiet; somewhat detaced from Pernera, Protaras and Ayia Napa, it is quiet. But, there is a very good bus service to these towns, and the taxis are reasonable and 'negotiable'.

The hotel staff were very friendly, generous, courteous and helpful. The entertainment was geared towards children, but this was to be expected given the 'family nature' of the hotel.

The pool was excellent, if a little deep; and busy all day, so you should get there early to grab a sunbed! But, if you don't there is a nice area of secluded garden behind which offers sunbeds readuly.

I would suggest two things though; do not use the hotel laundry service, which charges per item. If you take a short walk to nearby apartment blacks, these offer washing facilities to non-residents, very cheaply. Secondly, if you are travelling with a tour company, don't book your hire car from the U.K. They stanstantially over-charge; the towns have a vast choice of hire companies, with good stock if you give them 2-3 days advance notice. Indeed, you can book online with many of them.

We would definetly visit the hotel again.

We spent a fortnight at the Paschalia Hotel in May/June. The hotel is located in the Pernera area of Protaras, next to the waterpark. There is waste ground to the other side of the hotel and several houses are being built to the front, in varying stages of completion. Saying this, we were not bothered at all by building noise. The beach is approximately 10 minutes walk away.

The hotel rooms are quite small, with limited storage space for clothes (wardrobe and two drawers). There is a tv but most programmes are in Greek - one channel shows combined German/English programmes. But, who wants to watch tv on holiday anyway! There is no fridge in the room, but there is a minibar you can hire.

We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, although there is an option to buy evening meals in a block of 7 days. In my opinion the food quality was average and there was not a great choice for breakfast. Cereals, yoghurt and fruit (ok if you like watermelon and orange/lemon wedges!) with your normal fried breakfast/cold meat and cheese choice. There was normally quite a queue for the toast machines! We didn't eat in the hotel in the evening so I can't comment on the food quality, although there did seem a better choice.

The pool area was nice, with a large grassy area, well-stocked with sunbeds and mattresses. If you want a sunbed around the pool it's best to get up early as these went very quickly, but we had no problems finding a sunbed in the grassed area as late as 2pm. There is a pool bar/snack bar for drinks, etc.

Staff at the Paschalia were very friendly and helpful.

All in all, we had a great time at the Paschalia and would definitely return here in the future.
