The hotel is situated not far from the Pyramids and about half an hour from central Cairo.
The area around the hotel is typical of chaotic Cairo and not very good for walking/shopping etc.
The standard rooms are all situated on the ground floor with entrance doors opening on to the gardens. Large well furnished rooms with a fridge, table and chairs and a safe. No tea and coffee machines in the room. Each room has a terrace with table and chairs.
Decent sized bathroom with bath and over bath shower, a few toiletries are provided.
The Orangerie restaurant where breakfast is served is cavernous and has a buffet meal in the evenings which was only ordinary and a bit pricy. The Thai restaurant is excellent with a good choice of meals at realistic prices.
Good sized pool with plenty of sunbeds.
All in all a good choice for a bit of peace and quiet away from the madness that is Cairo, though the rooms near the main road may be a bit noisy.
