We booked this all inclusive family holiday and the food and selection were really good, and suited the palet of the vegetarian teenager we had with us.
The hotel was spotless and staff were constantly cleaning. The rooms were nice and spacious and the hotel was really busy.
The ony downside was that when we origionally arrived the hotel was overbooked and they moved us to their sister hotel 1001 nights. We spent the first week there and then insisted to be fitted into the hotel we origionally booked.
I would reccomend to anyone going with young teenage girls to not let them go into shops on their own. Please take my word for that!!!!

My family made a last minute booking to this hotel and we were so glad we did. On arrival it was a bit chaotic we had booked a family bungalow and was given a sea front room. We enquired about it and was told they were being refurbished and we had been up graded to a sea front. We did not take their word for it and asked to see what we paid for. The room we had been given was much better and much nearer to everything we needed.
The cleanliness was great which is something I must have on holiday or I can't relax. The rooms and towels were cleaned daily and all the floors were constantly being swept and mopped. Even the beach towels were clean and fresh.
The food we all thought was also great. Yes it can get a bit repetitive but there was always something to eat. I myself am a picky eater but still found something I fancied. The cakes and desserts were high on the kids best bits also the fresh pancakes made every morning for breakfast.
Location was ok and not too far from the airport. As with all of Hurghada it is a bit of a building site but once all the new hotels arefinished it will be a great place to visit. We would certainly go back to see how it has changed. It was only a short taxi ride into town which we booked from the hotel. Do be careful as taxi's fly about out front wanting you to get in but I would advice on getting it from the hotel!!
The staff do like their tips but once they know you they will get you your sun beds and give you extra special service. Just a small tip is suffice to keep them on your side. They eventually look out for you and help in anyway they can.
Entertainment was all in german that was free. But it was still ok.
Alot of people in the area had jelly belly from other hotels who transfered to ours as we seemed to be the only one with decent food. We were all ok apart from a bit of heat stroke. It does get hot at mid day so do cover up if your not used to it

My wife and I stayed at the Beach Albatross for one week as a Christmas present to each other. Neither of us had been to Egypt before so we were a bit apprehensive, these apprehensions were all laid to rest when we arrived at the hotel.
The hotel is spotlessly clean and there are always people sweeping and cleaning wherever you go,
The rooms are clean and fairly simple, I would say more 3* than 5* rating though, our mini bar fridge was not filled while we were there, but perhaps that is a good point, less to eat and spend!
The Food at the hotel was varied and there was always something different, although my wife and I did suffer pharaoh

Having visited the sister hotel in Sharm (Royal Albatros at Xmas I wondered if the Beach Albatros would be on a parr when I visited in April 05. Heres my review:-
Rooms - Nice, clean with hairdryer and fridge stocked daily. Full sea views are a fair walk from the main hotel though. We had part sea view but could also see the lagoon.
Food - Two main restaurants and speciality nights including a BBQ and fish night. The Dom Cammilo speciality restaurant was lovely. All inc guests get the starters, desserts and drinks free and you pay half the menu price for main meals. It was so nice we ate there 3 times and I highley recommend the fillet steak. The bill was minimal and cost around 40 quid for the three visits! For kids there is always a kiddie corner, where they can help themselves.
Pools - Two main pools, always a sunbed and entertainment round one with the second being quieter. the animation team do try and get everyone involved.
Entertainment - Althought this hotel was predominantly german and russian there are few english there. Whatever english that are there get A1 treatment. The hotels entertainment is mostly tailored to germans.
There is also a disco - payable after midnight ( we took loads of drinks in beforehand), a billards room.
I recommend to the ladies to visit the beauty salon, try the threading (equivalent to waxing). Hurts but so worth it.
All in all this hotel was great and I can say for the first time abroad I did not have a Pharo's revenge tummy once! Which is a miracle for me. I really recommend it for families, there is two big kids parks and a kids club. I am going to visit again next April and take my 4 year old nephew!

We pretty much made our minds up on the first day that We would not return to this hotel.
Do not misunderstand me the hotel was fanstastic and the grounds great, the gymn looked good, never went in. The food in both restrauntents was excellent, the taverna and pizza bar at lunch excellent, it was just the hotel did not feel right for us.
The beach was based around a small harbour for the two competing dive operators. The local vendors who patrolled the hotel grounds were very aggressive in thier marketing.
The Med hotels rep fantastic very cheap excursions and diving when compared to the hotel and local vendors. The staff loved talking to us as we appeared to be the only English in the hotel, although there were supposed to be 60. If you do go, the little waiter around the pool who keeps saying lovely jublee, will want funny English sayings from you. All the staff are friendly.
Finally although the official entertainemnt is aimed at the German guests and a lot of it went over our heads, I would recommend spending an hour or so in the perfume shop with Dr Picasso, a fanstastic demonstration of his products, and we did buy from him. Also the artist on the site Mohammed, did a wonderful drawing of my wife taken from a picture taken many years ago.

We stayed in March the weather was 25 degrees and sunny everyday, although in the evening the temperature dipped to about 12 degrees.
The room was excellent, ground floor with a verandah onto the pool area, quiet, ideally situated, and kept spotless by the staff.
The food was very good always plenty of choice, and good service. The drinks were fine whatever you wanted basically.
The facilities in the hotel were first class, bars, restuarants, indoor, outdoor hugepool, tennis, football, basketball, volleyball, door games room, internet cafe, the place really did not want for much.
Would we go back, most definitely.
We were the only English guests, not a problem for us, but maybe would be for some.
