Just got back from 2 weeks in Dreams Beach and it was just what we needed. It was 40 minutes from Marsa Alam airport. The rooms were cleaned daily, with plenty of towel arts on the bed.
The main restaurant were all meals are served the Italian which you have 2 book serve great food with great staff, the chef cooks it fresh.
The beach has plenty of sunbeds and parasols as round the main pools all the staff are very helpful and friendly. A big plus is the 24 hour bar if you feel like a late drink.

2 weeks of lovely Sun, sea & sand. Hotel in middle of nowhere, Perfect for us to chill out.
Greeted with a welcome cool drink after 45 mins travelling time from Marsa Alam Airport, check in was effortless.
All staff are friendly, helpful and always smiling from dawn to way past midnight.
Rooms clean = Fresh clean towels & bedding daily. Room made up & cleaned daily. other areas of hotel also kept really clean too.
Assortment of eating areas during the day
Breakfast, Lunch & dinner = main restaurant.
Lunch = pizza (pool) restaurant & main restaurant.
Evening meal = Italian, Grill, Seafood or main restaurant. A wide range of foods to choose from like
omlettes, cereal, fruit, yogurt, toast / breads to meats (not pork), potato, vegetables, rice, various pastas etc.
Beach = plenty of sun beds & parasols, Small jetty to climb off to get into the sea because of the coral. Tons of fish too see. Beach is made up of small stones, sand & broken coral nothing that a good rake wouldn't sort. Beach shoes recommended
Pools = 9 in total, all outdoor pools aren't heated, 2 are for children & the main pool has a shallow area for the kids too, but is cold unless a hot day. Plenty of sun beds & parasols for all. 2 pools have slides!!! great for kids & adults alike (1 for each).
Drinks at the beach & pool areas are served in throw away or plastic cups for safety reasons.
Garden areas = kept immaculate with lots of lovely plants & flowers.
Plenty of shops in the complex = perfume, gifts, pharmacy etc.
entertainment is resort based as you are in the middle of nowhere = perfect for us.
Trips offered from here are to Cairo, Luxor, Hurgarda Aswan, Port Ghalib etc some are quite expensive but you are on the red sea coast with nothing much else around you. I would recommend the 2 day trip to Luxor thats is amazing & a trip to Aswan which is good but also very tiring for 1 day.

We had to pick this hotel after being let down by Thomson Holidays at short notice and think we picked a very good hotel. As the first report says about the hotel, I agree with this so will not go over the same things.
One thing about the cleaners I would like to put is that they are all men, ours left three towel models (a ship, a swan, and a flower)all of the hotel and pool area were spotless.
Marsa Alam is a up and comming resort with not a lot around it, most hotels in this area are well apart, it is about 45 minutes from the new airport, there are new hotels going up all along the new road from the airport and in a few years if it keeps going the way it is there should be lots to pick from, there is no town near the hotel but you can get a taxi from the hotel to it if you want to.
The hotel staff were on the ball all of the time, from the moment we got there with a welcome drink as we waited to check in till the time we left. Bar staff never kept you waiting for a drink, the two lads on the beach really look after you bring over your sunbed mattress and lay your towel out for you and the beach barman kepts the drinks comming all day.
Restaurant staff all nice and cleared away as soon as you had finished your plate.
The main restaurant put on the sort of food you get in all this sort of hotel, egg chef in the mourning but no bacon, main meals were salads two meat and a fish, pasta made to order and lots of deserts. went to the grill restaurant you get well looked after in here, went to the Italian twice it was so nice, so overall the food was A 1.
Entertainment was perhaps this hotels only let down, in the main lobby bar they had a man singer every night, the only thing with this was that it was the same man every night doing the same songs in the same order. he also used to come into the Italian restaurant and sing the same songs in his break from the bar. Is this like this in all All Inclusives as they no you are there for the night and don't have to bother
I was one to say I would never go Egypt for a holiday and would still not go to say Cairo or Luxor but I would go back hear for a new years holiday for the week as with this holiday, it is a great place to chill out read a few books and get a bit of winter sun, I do think it would be to hot for us in the summer.

A last minute holiday.... However we as a family have travelled to Egypt many times, and thankfully its a little different to the vast majority of European holidays.
Hotel is in the shape of a horse-shoe, with a large lake at its centre, surrounded by many smaller swimming pools. The main pool is quite large and situated just above the beach area. All are clean tidy and enjoyable with plenty of sun beds and shade.
The beach area is small, but clean and pleasant on the eye. There are a few little huts or drinks stations scattered around so you are never that far from refreshments.
Food is self service, and acceptable, nothing outstanding but a fair variety, everything is clean.
Rooms are of reasonable size, the fixtures and fittings are also at a reasonable standard, there is a daily maid service with a change of towels and a cleaning of the room.
Entertainment is light hearted and sometimes a little educational, considering this is a lazy holiday location it worth making the effort to see the performances.
Staff.... personnally we found them excellent. It makes all the difference to respect them and make friends with them, act as in a manner of a quality guest and you will be looked after, act as an loud or rude idiot and you will be treated as such. Those who travel to hot climets know and understand, when its hot don't expect someone to wait on you hand and foot. This place is relaxed and quiet, it means alot to the staff if you take just a few moments and talk with them, and if you remember their names....they remember you. They do not expect tips, but like the whole world its right to rewards good service. A small tip here and there works wonders.
There is an indoor pool and a spa area, do use them both you won't be disapointed at all.
