Myself and my girlfriend (Mid 20's) visited the Continental Garden Reef Resort from 4th June - 11th June and had a fantastic time.
I was abit sceptical after reading other reviews of this hotel and Egypt put I couldnt be happier with this hotel.
Can I just say this is the cleanest hotel I have ever seen, very very impressed.
When booking the hotel I asked for a room high up with a sea view which i paid extra for, this was 1 of the things I was worried about but upon arrival at the hotel I was delighted that they had "chosen this room for me" we were greeted and our suitcases taken straight to our room. Then we were taken round our hotel and shown where everything was, (this place is huge) the staff at our hotel where very helpful and spoke very good english which was good.
So we unpacked and everything was great, we had a fridge to store all our free bottled water and this was also available as a mini bar upon request at reception.
The beds were unbelievabley comfy and you gotta love that egyptian cotton ;)
That night we attended our first meal and it was great, so much choice, also beer, wine, soft drinks, juices all available.
As we were pretty tired we stopped in our hotel bar and supped the AI booze which we thought ended at 10.30pm, so after getting as much down me as I could before this time I then found out it was until midnight.
Got back to the room and me and the mrs sit out on the lovely balcony with that warm breeze, was lovely and those cushions are really comfy and the view spectacular, we eventually retired 2 bed and flicked on the A/C unit. This thing was fantastic, set your temperature and just drop off, not too loud either.
Next morning (with a little hangover) we went down for breakfast and was delighted to see fresh pancakes and omlettes being made infront of our eyes :) this went down very well along with sum fruit juice and a coffee.
At this hotel beach towels are provided (save on that suitcase weight for your duty free ;) you get a couple of towel cards which you hand in in exchange for a fresh clean towel every time you want 1.
The pool was lovely and refreshing and baking in 40 degree heat, also water polo, aqua gymmmmmm etc was available.
We also booked a snorkelling trip at Tyron Island and had a fantastic time there, a guy came round when we were round the pool and sorted us out.
On our last day we were not flying until 6.25 pm but had to be out our room at 12noon, we had a quick word at recpetion and the gentleman let us keep our room free of charge until 2pm. The staff at this hotel where fantastic and very very helpful.
Shuttle buses were available from our hotel to Naama Bay every day and limo taxis that came and picked you up at an arranged time aswell.
Cant say thankyou to this hotel enough for making our holiday a brilliant 1.
