The Delta Sharm resort apartments are hit and miss to say the least.
I travelled with a friend and we had separate rooms, mine was clean and although basic all ok, shower worked without flooding room. Her room had shabby furniture, the shower no matter how careful you were flooded the bathroom and went into kitchen, making it dangerous to walk.
Research your accommodation. All inclusive food the first week was the same every night, very, choice and cold!!! However after complaining in writing to the general manager things were slowly improving, they have only been doing AI food for 6 weeks but they have a lot to learn. Most guests ended up eating out.
Entertainment was a version of the same show for the whole two weeks which got very boring

We stayed at the Delta Sharm Complex in March 2008 and having read the reviews we were a little unsure about how it was going to be as we normally only stay in 4-5 Star hotels but as we really wanted the space of an apartment as a family we decided to give it a try. Having spoken to a number of people about the complex before booking we decided to book a private apartment as all the people we spoke to said the standard of the complex owned apartments was poor. We found an apartment on the holiday lettings website which had just been refitted and we were the first to stay in the apartment. Upon arriving the complex looked lovely despite it being late in the day and the apartment itself was everything we had expected. It had been renovated to a very good standard, lounge area with two sofa beds, bedroom with two double beds, large bathroom and small kitchen but with everything needed inc cooker and washing machine. There was also a terrace area with table that was great for breakfast. The complex also has a great satellite system with English films and although I am not keen on watching TV on holiday my daughter loved it. The complex itself is massive, like a resort in its own right with about 3 restaurants, Internet Cafe, supermarket etc. The pools are lovely, 12 I think in all and they are really well spaced out through out the complex so all apartments are no more than a couple of minutes walk from a pool. We visited in winter and wanted a heated pool and there was just one of the pools heated so it was busy but we tried another of the pools and it was plenty warm enough (the larger pools a little cold so choose a smaller one, really quiet too). The gardens around the complex are very beautiful and constantly being tendered. If you want to eat on site the Italian is very nice (though alittle pricey) and the friends Restaurant is really cheap (great Pizzas, pasta etc). The location is about 5 minutes in a Taxi from Nama Bay and only costs about

Kitchen facilities were just basic. I found bits of broken glass in the carpet and nearly cut myself.
Food at the main restaurant is good and service very quick.
Transport is not a problem at all, plus even taxis are - in comparison to Europe - extremly cheap(Delta Sharm - Neama Bay: 15Egt.Pounds= 2

Grounds and swimming pools brilliant. A variety of eateries on site with varying prices to suit all pockets. Shops and pharmacy on-site.
Resort taxis just outside main gate and are more economical thatn local taxis. Very reasonable, we hired a car and the driver for the day to Ras Mohammedand it only cost us the equivalent of 40 euros. People friendly.
If you haven't dealt with Arab vendors previously please be patient as haggling is a social affair and they are very friendly. Go to the Old Market for shopping rather than the touristy Na-ama Bay area as all items are generally cheaper.

The hotel had nice grounds, well maintained.
The room was very dirty, a bolier hanging off the wall. Ripped bedding, damaged furniture, rusty shower, no toilet paper and no towels. The Air-con had seen better days, rusty with water leaking from it onto the floor and down the walls.
No hot water ever in the room, staff not bothered.
It was a real dissapointment and is a hotel I would never stay in again.

Beautiful grounds, horrible accomodations, dirty rooms and lousy furniture except for the beds which were comfortable.

I have visited the Delta Sharm Resort on many occasions and have always found it to be clean and tidy.
The resort grounds are kept to a very high standard, all 3 pool areas that I visited were once again clean and all with lifeguard and towel man! I believe there are more pools to choose from.
The apartments are clean and basic but functional. There is a selection of shops and restaurants available and they also deliver if you wish.
This resort gives you exactly what you pay for and a little more with the especially friendly staff.
The location is excellent as it is a 5 minute taxi drive from Naama Bay and taxis are available anywhere anytime for a very very small cost.
I would, and have, visited on numerous occasions
