There are no end of reviews praising this hotel up, and they are all right, this hotel is fantastic, heaven even! The rooms are large and spacious, even the bathroom impresses.
The whole complex is kept up to a great standard, people are out tending at the crack of dawn to the grounds. we were somewhat humoured by the constant polishing of the floors is the lobby, they are very particular!
Food in the hotel is to a good standard not 5* but a good standard, tried coast the first night as we were late arriving, nothing to write home about, but on other occasions ate either lunch or dinner at the mexican, aqua bar and zinzina and all where of a great standard.
Breakfast is certainly an affair you want to get up for, great array of foods and once again brilliant service. Every hotel has it niggles and as it has been said previous this is no exeption but i mean little niggles nothing to put a doubt in your mind about booking this hotel.
Snorkeling from the hotel jetty is brilliant, certainly just as good as that at ras mohammed, same fish really, but be warned there can be quite a current in the late afternoons, which will certainly provide some entertainment on the way out to the jetty, not for those prone to sea sickness!
Did a couple of trips went with charm of sharm, service was excellent, cairo was a long but good day and cost us

This hotel really is amazing!
When we arrived, we checked in very promptly and had our luggage delvered to the room by truck. The reception area is spectacular and the security scanners were reassuring rather than off putting.
The twin room was a very generous size with 2 queen sized beds with lovely plump feather pillows and extra cushions. The room had a tv, internet connection, but no ironing board/iron. A simple request to a member of staff meant this was sorted immediately!
The bedroom & bathroom were beautifully fitted out - and were cleaned daily throughout the week. The mini bar was an extra bonus too!
In fact, the hotel was clean eveywhere and at all times. The staff polishing the floor in the reception area in the morning is a sight to behold!
On our 1st night we just wanted a snack so we ate in the inside bar and i had a lovely & very filling Greek salad - and inexpensive too.
We stayed B&B basis and as others have written, the breakfast buffet is outstanding - absolutely everything you could want and more and I didn't need to eat again until the evening! There were even areas for children to select from (at child height) which i thought was well thought out. As a vegetarian there was plenty to choose from - waffles cooked to order, fruit, pastries, yoghurts, juices etc. You could choose to sit inside or as i did, sit outside overlooking the pool, eating and getting some early morning sun!
The staff everywhere in the hotel were especially attentive: in the reception, in the shop which sold stamps, by the pool and in the restaurants.
The pool guys at the top pool were great - give them some indication where you'd like to spend the day and they will gladly set your bed up daily - and they weren't doing this for a tip either (as I never tipped them!). Had I known about the free towels it would have saved space in my suitcase - I know for next time!
I spent every day at the Rotunda Bar and pool area where the guys take great care to look after you. Mohamed and the guys at the bar are true professionals who work long hours but always put you, the guest, first- nothing is too much trouble!
It was February and the weather was beautiful - sunny all day long- but the pool was freezing! Then again, it was the Egyptian winter, I'm sure it does warm up at other times of the year!
There was no noticeable entertainment on the week we were there but as we went to Naama Bay/the Old Market every night to eat we could well have missd it! Come to think of it, there might have been some posters advertising some acts....
I would definitely return to this hotel. It was totally faultless. We were even able to pay an extra US$25 for a late check out. Had this not have been possible, other guests said you could have used the changing rooms and shower facilities at the gym.
The hotel truly deserves its 5* rating. The week there was totally memorable and I must admit, I could have stayed there forever, it is heavenly!

I booked this hotel in January so had months before it was my time to go. I think I've read and digested eveyones reviews on the hotel so heres mine!!
On arriving at the hotel and stepping into the main foyer I was blown away. It was truely a wonderful sight. So spacious and clean and of course from here you could look out to the sea.
Here were the shops, main buffet restaurant, italian restaurant, gym and steam room and atm machine.
We had a twin sea view room and were led to our room. It was at the top of the hotel so the same level as the main reception. It took a minute to get to our room ( no 1412 ).
Well we were NOT disappointed. It was a lovely room. The beds were large. The bathroom was enormous and had a seperate bath and shower cubicle.
There was plenty of cupboard space and as for the view from the balcony. It was just what we had dreamed of. We watched the sun rising one day from our balcony and from the front of our room if we followed the path to the end of the rooms we faced the lighthouse where we saw the sun go down. we took some wonderful photos of both.
There was a mini fridge in the room but we moved things round so that we could easily get our drinks and water in.
There were a lot of steps around the hotel......but it is sited on a cliff. You could either go down the steps or use the slopes. I do have trouble walking and it really didn't cause me any trouble at all.
Everywhere is in stages and the pools are on all levels. I think from top to bottom there were four levels.
To start with we chose to use the pool at the top of the hotel by the main building. On our first day we gave the pool boy a tip and he always reserved us the same sunbeds everyday.
We also got two towels each, which was handy when we went down to the beach. during the week the lad moved down to the aqua pool and he was pleased that we followed him!!
Again he reserved us sunbeds....but to be honest there wouldn't have been a problem getting beds. We tipped him every couple of days and at the end of the week we gave him a bit more. I was actually quite touched that, at the end of our stay, he handed us a little egyptian picture.
There were four pools at this hotel. The one at the top, the aqua pool, which is halfway between the reception and the beach. there is one at the front of the hotel and one on the left at the bottom next to the mexican retaurant.
So there were plenty to choose from.
The beach is tiered and there were always plenty of sunbeds. The sand is quite hard on the feet so we had already invested in some beach shoes, which were a must!
The only access to the reef is via the jetty......it does look scarey. I'm not a very good swimmer and had already read about the currents here and about it being very deep. all I can say is, if you are nervous, is to pick your first time to go in the water carefully some people don't think about nervous people!!!!
I went in late afternoon on the first day. It was quiet then on the jetty so I had time to gather myself. there are two ladders which are very easy to use. The current runs from left to right or vis versa. I was worried that the current took you either onto the coral or took you out to sea!!!!
There was no worries of that. Once we pushed off from the jetty we always swam against the current and then were taken back to the jetty on the current. This is the best thing to do. You literally just floated.
It really was that easy. I can't really describe the reef. It was something that just was the best. There was so much to see and the fish, well we identified at least 30 different ones and that was not including the small ones. Some of them were BIG but they all kept themselves to themselves. There was plenty of good coral to see.
We ate breakfast at the hotel which was the usual buffet style. We ate a few times at the hotel in the evening. It wasn't cheap compared to eating in naama bay but it wasn't bad.
The buffet restaurant cost 120 egyptian pounds to eat there. We did this once and were not disappointed. It was a good spread which I think catered for most tastes. The burger meal we had at zinzinas was excellent. It cost 60 egyptian pounds but was obviously a homemade burger and was cooked to perfection. We ate at the mexican once and again we couldn't fault the meal.
The grounds at the hotel were wonderful. Everything was in flower and the amount of flowers they had was amazing. There were always people tending the gardens and clearing up. I didn't see any rubbish or mess during the week. everything seemed well kept.
There was a bit of entertainment in the evening but it was very low key, which I prefer. I'm afraid i'm getting too old for all this loud music into the early hours!!
There were some small shops at the hotel but if you were prepared to go up the road just past the hilton waterfalls hotel there were cheaper shops here and there was also a chemist here if needed. This was also opposite fantasia.
Where there were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. it literally took 10 minutes strolling to get here. It was well worth the walk.
One downside to the hotel, which didn't affect us, was that they don't cash travellers cheques here. You have to go to the hilton waterfalls hotel which was just up the road.
There is an ATM machine in the hotel where you can use your credit card and also exchange money BUT I only saw this working one day during our week here!! We payed for everything at the end which was no hassle whatsoever. And they would accept any means of payment. We even extended our room on the last day at no extra expense.
That really was the only downside to this hotel. They thought of everything. Shuttle bus four times a day to old sharm or into naama bay. There was a good dive school here which also organised much cheaper boat trips than the reps ones.
All I can now say is roll on next november.......we'll be back. medot.xxxx

Hotel spotless pictures in holiday brocures do not do it justice - its a lovely hotel.
From the moment you arrive you are treated well staff are very friendly. We only had breakfast at the hotel which was a buffet of hot and cold meals very nice. You can eat at the many little bars or the beach throughout the day all really nice.
Not much entertaiment just the odd belly dancer but didn't go there for the entertainment so this suited us well. Not much to do for children it was just my husband and I so it was nice not to have many children there.
I would go back again next week and I never usually vist the same place twice.

A 5 star hotel in every sense of the rating. On arrival at the hotel your luggage is looked after whilst you check in, you then give the man your room number and the luggage is sent on its way to meet you. A bell hop accompanies you to your room and shows you how everything works. We had a Family room/Suite in the 1600 block - on the first floor with an excellent all round sea and pool view. Entering the room you first come to a contained kitchen area which had all brand new fittings - fully fitted oven and hob, microwave, kettle, full length fridge freezer and all marble worktops. you then enter into the lounge which contained a dining table and big arm chairs and a 3 seater sofa (this was a a double bed sofa) this room also had its own balcony and large screen TV. Off this room was the passage to the main bedroom which was huge with its own armchairs, Large TV and a second balcony. The bathroom again was very large with both a bath with wall mounted shower and a seperate all glass shower cubicle. Both lounge/kitchen and Bedroom all had independant Air conditoning controls.
The beach is partially man made as the hotel is on a headland - the beach is on different levels finally ending up at little coves at sea level. Sun loungers are available at all levels along with towels. Snorkling here is excellent you see as much as when you dive. There is a floating jetty which you walk along to take you over the shallow water/coral to the deeper water.
There is a dive centre on the beach that does the usual padi courses and dive excursions - they are quite reasonable and very knowledgable - we used them for 5 dives without problems.
Pools ; - there are 4 pools - all surrouned by sun loungers and all in excellent condition. the one nearest the beach has a pool bar/restaurant and a swim up bar..all are tended by pool boys who will obtain your sun lounger/umberella/towels for you and place them whereever you want to go. These lads are most helpful and a tip goes a long way to securing you the best postions each day...
Again Restaurants, there is as others have said not much choice - if you are there for one week then there is more than enough choice - but why do people want to stay and eat in the hotel every evening?? Naama Bay is less than 10 mins away and there are literally hundreds of restaurants there I can recommend The hard rock cafe absolute bargain - 3 course for 3 people with drinks all night and change from 30 pounds...there is also a brilliant tandoori/indian restaurant at the Camel bar/hotel in Naama that i can vouch for..
back to the hotel - we stayed bed and breakfast and breakfast is an occasion in its self. its served from 0700 - 1100 if you want any food earlier you can book a breakfast box to take away with you. At breakfast you are accompanied to a table where a waiter will bring you fresh coffee and tea, its then up to you to help yourself. There are a selection of about 6 different fresh juices..proper fresh as in freshly squeezed. There are Cereals, Fresh tropical fruits, Cheese, meats, Omlettes to order, waffles pancakes, a full varierty of pastries - there must be about 20 different sorts. Every type of bread/toast you can think of and then there is the hot buffett, with items such as beef sausage, beef bacon (tastes like pork to me) veal sauasage, chicken sausage, scrambled egg, fried potatoe, tomatoes and some strange breakfast choices each day such as Chilli con carne or corned beef hash!!
The general maintenance around the hotel was excellent and the gardens were spectacular..if anything needed doing you just mentioned it and someone was there to do it within minutes..
If you are staying here you WONT BE dissapointed.....

This hotel is truely first class. The star rating I think you will find is 5. We spent two weeks at this hotel in March.
The staff are excellent, always polite and cant do enough for you. The cleanliness of the whole resort fantastic, fresh towels everyday, pool cleaned everyday, which you dont find many places you go.
Book a family suite for extra luxury, it was well worth it, with sea views, double balcony and fully fitted kitchen - fridge a must in the heat. We found the beach of neighbouring hotel el fanar to be excellent not man made and the snorkelling there much better, as you can actually walk into the water rather than launching yourself off the jetty.
Acapulco Joes restaurant really good food and service in a relaxing atmosphere. We would definately go to this hotel again.

We selected this hotel as friends were staying there and our first choice had building work.
We arrived v. late and everyone was accomodating, providing us with some food however the extra bed we requested and kettle for our daughter's milk was not provided. They seem to run to their own clock as we waited 45mins for them to arrive!
The steps to the main area were abundant and steep, a resort definately not for the elderly, pregnant mothers (me!) or parents with buggies as slopes only run the long way round the resort.
Grounds well kept and constantly maintained. Staff helpful and friendly.
Several people in our airplane party were charged for drinks from the mini bar that weren't taken, e.g we were charged for alcohol which we didn't have (we are both tee-total).
Booked half board but food for this is only available from the buffet restaurant which was the only one that didn't have a children's menu and had long queues! Ended up eating at the other restaurants with a children's menu which defeated the object.
Service everywhere v. slow so don't do anything in a rush.
If you are a family I would definately recommend getting the family units which even had microwaves.
Tipping the staff
