stayed in the tropicana azur club and was lovely. you did have a problem finding a sunbed around pool if you went there after 9am. people are getting up early and putting towels on loungers which they are not supposed to be able to do..and they are british. this hotel had mainly english people in it while we were there. the hotel is spotless. the rooms are very clean and the bathrooms have a walk in shower..great. the food is faultless and i am fussy. been to egypt 5 times and stayed in different hotels every time and this was best for food. has two restaurants..italian and chinese and can go unlimiteded times. you book either day before or on the day. food in both was great. the main restaurant has theme nights ie; mexican, african, italian, international, egypian and american. waiters are all friendly. there is a poolside bar and a place to get something to eat..burgers, chips, hotdogs, pizza, jacket pots, kebabs. the only thing they are very poor on is fresh fruit which they have very little of. there is a seperate area wher there are two water slides for the kids and a small area with loungers for parents to watch from..is kept lovely and clean and a member of staff always there to watch. the only gripe i have about the pool is the music they play is just boom, boom, boom on an afternoon and can get on your nerves a bit.sometimes a bit of smooth music would be nice...you know to get you off to sleep after stuffing ones face at lunch time which i did(5lbs) heavier to prove it. you can get water, juice by the glass and tea and coffee aswell as lager etc. again the only thing about the coffee is it is not nescafe as they advertise it is their coffee which is like chicory and not great. the beach is a good ten mins walk over the road and through the sister hotel which you need to get a pass from reception to give the guard at the gate so you can get in and once down on the beach you can use the beach bar and food bar but only those two. beach quite nice but was quite windy when we were there and did rain two afternoons.the entertainment ok. did try their best. english pub just outside and very nice and also a decent amount of shops. kfc, mcdonalds and starbucks just a short walk away aswell. all in all one of the best hotels we have stayed in and would definately go back although i do like to go to different hotels.

excellent entrance booking in was fine staff very helpful.
Food
You could always find something you liked to eat even if it was only chips. Visited the Italian twice very nice, went to the chineese however both myself and my brother were ill the next day and had to visit the chemist (tummy trouble)so we never went back there.
Hotel Staff
quite helpful although if you were young female and attractive you got better service from some of the waiters not all. The people who cleaned the rooms were very good and very respectful.
Entertainment
Day time the music was far too loud and very repetative BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!! could very it for all ages.
Gald we were in a four some on an evening as the so called entertainment was terrible.
Visit again - no as we have all beed ill since returning home with food poisoning Saminella and Shigella.

The hotel rooms are spread over 12 blocks surrounding the swimming pool, 2 of the blocks are still undergoing minor internal works and were not being used.
When we arrived at the hotel we checked in and the reception staff photocopied our passport which we thought was good as you did not have to leave your passports with them overnight.
We were then taken by the bell boys to our room in block 6.
The other 3 couples in our group were given family rooms which contained a king sized bed and 2 queen sized beds but we was given a standard twin room which had 2 queen sized beds.
The room was very clean and spacious and had a fridge and a television in it. The safes in the room are free although we did not use ours as it was not fastened into the wall (ie I could pick it up and take it out the room).
The main hotel restaurant looks quite small but always had plenty of free tables.
Breakfast consists of cereals, fresh fruit, pastries, cooked breakfast (everything except bacon of course) and omelettes/fried eggs cooked to order.
Dinner/Evening meal consisted of fish/chicken/beef, vegetables, potatoes and a pasta section where a chef cooks your pasta and sauce to order.
We never struggled to find something to eat and fully enjoyed every meal, do watch out with the omelettes as sometimes these are undercooked.
There are 2 other restaurants at the hotel, an Italian and a Chinese. You are allowed to eat at each of these restaurants once each during your stay. We went to both and the food was very nice.
There is a group of around 10 entertainers at the hotel doing various activities during the day and putting on shows at night. We did not watch the shows at night as we choose to stay in the lobby bar drinking but the daytime activities were entertaining.
All of the staff at the hotel are very friendly and extremely hard working. Alot of other guests tipped the staff but then treated the staff like slaves, constantly clicking fingers in order to get their attention to ask for drinks.
The hotel is constantly being cleaned with a team of cleaners working all day.
To get to the beach from the hotel you could get a shuttle bus or walk through the sister hotel (The Grand Azure) across the road. Once at the beach you can get food from the beach snack bar and drinks from the beach bar.
The hotel location is good if you want a quiet holiday but if you want it abit more lively Naama Bay is only a 20 minute taxi ride away.
There is a nightclub quite close to the hotel, which plays loud music until between 1am and 1.30am every nights (some nights louder than others). In our room the music could be heard very clearly and I did struggle to get to sleep until the music stopped. We could have just been unluckily as other members of our group did not experience any problems with the music.
