My Mum and I stayed for 10 nights here and by day 4/5 we were pretty sick of the bland food on offer. I pity anyone travelling with kids as there was very little on offer for them. Approx 2 nights out of 10 there were chips available. Being a vegetarian, things were not too bad for me as they cook a lot of rice and vegetables and always had pasta available, but for meat eaters choice was often limited. On the whole as I said, very repetitive, enough to put you off eating for a while.
Drinks were served in small glasses inside or very small plastic cups outside, meaning several repeat trips to the bar, we saw some repeat guests who had brought their own from home, big plastic tumblers and that seemed to be acceptable so I would recommend that to anyone travelling there.
Ice cream is available in the daytime but is only free to children, adults are required to pay.
There is little atmosphere at the hotel, the main lobby bar is pretty boring, no background music, the animation team also leave a lot to be desired but this seems to be the norm in Egypt.
There are two main pool areas, one is "the noisy pool" and the other is "the quiet pool". If noisy thumping music all day is your thing then the noisy pool is the one for you (its the one nearest the restaurant) but if like us, you like to relax then head to the quiet pool. Sunbeds are always reserved despite the rules, but if you cant beat them, join them!
Hotel is overall, lovely and clean and staff are friendly, but this is a budget all inclusive, not worth more than a 3 star, and despite claims of many repeat guests its definitely not one I would visit again.

This hotel is clean and our room was cleaned on a daily basis. The resort has entertainment on 6 nights a week but only from 9 until 11 once the entertainment is finished that is it there is little else to do there. Entertainment included karaoke, bingo, belly dancer and magician. We found it hard to keep our son entertained on a night luckily he met friends later in the holiday. Had the entertainment been on longer things would have been much better and less boring. We visited the beach a few times using the free shuttle bus from the hotel. The shuttle bus is excellent and we had no problems at all getting to and from the beach, they are very prompt though so dont be late. It is a lovely clean beach the sea is amazing however sandals are required as the beach is not sand more of a fine grit, however this is not a problem as said aslong as you have something on your feet. I recommend a boat trip out into the red sea i was astounded by how beautiful the coral etc..was. Although i would visit Egypt again i wouldnt go back to St.George we found the food repetitive (always rice potato veg any meat was cut for you by staff and little was given). We had major problems with our 7 year old as did the families we met. The kids food corner only had 2 choices 1 always salad the other choice ranging from pizza, toast, hotdogs (which were spicy) burgers which were tiny a few times a week there were fries. Although i think the staff try they just dont have the food quite right.Drinks are given in very small plastic cups which mant you are constantly backwards and forwards to the bar. I recommend taking some large plastic cups of your own and keep getting these refilled. My partner was also ill for 2 days and ended up in the clinic on a drip several other families had stomach problems too. The weather is amazing and all said it was a good relaxing holiday. This is a place to go if you want to lie by the pool for a week in the blazing sun and do little else. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere so you can't actually walk anywhere you need to get a taxi. There is a shopping centre 25 mins away although not finished yet and also when it is 46 degrees it is too far to walk especially with a child. I would say though we managed for a fortnight and im sure you will to. Hope this helps a bit

the all day boat trips and the snorkling are not to be missed, so is the trip to cairo, it was amazing, were gonna do it again next year and also go to luxor to see the valley of the kings, if you do go try the quad biking, its brilliant and go out for your dinner in the bedouin camp.

The meals in the buffet restaurant were very good with a reasonable variation on different days. Chez Pascal is excellent and although its not all inclusive it is very reasonable. We ate twice and for soup then steaks for 2 was a total of
