Blakelow Farm Cottages are without a doubt the most beautiful well-kept five star cottages you can stay in. We always stay in Candle Cottage which is the two person one it's very romantic and as in all the cottages totally luxurious and this one is particularly romantic.
There are two other cottages that 4 people can stay in which are beautiful too I have stayed in Christmas cottage which is very traditional both Candle and Christmas have log burning fires, Cranberry Cottage is a little more modern but haven't stayed in this one and there is also a one person cute little cottage for the single traveller.
The grounds are stunning as are the views there is everything you need and you even get a complementary basket of items such as wine, bread, Blakelow's own eggs, chocs and biscuits just to get you started, and Steve the owner even puts milk in the fridge for you. There is lots to do in the surrounding area, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Lady Bower Reservoir, Bakewell, Castleton, Markets, Buxton, Matlock, plus much more and it's even more beautiful when it's snowing.
Steve will even cook a three course meal and serve it for you at your table in your cottage, the food is gorgeous and perfect if you’re celebrating a special occasion if you prefer he also does packed lunches with a twist.
The cottages have won lots of awards and are usually fully booked months in advance we always go for my birthday every November and have been going singe 2003. So for the perfect getaway check out their website and get booked you will not be disappointed, that's why we go back and don't bother to look anywhere else.
