We booked a week at this caravan park and left after three days. Gold standard caravan dirty and complete with dog hairs embedded in the carpet and furniture. Mouldy taps, stained duvets and pillows. Shabby reception area smelt of stale smoke, small swimming pool, broken swings in the park and this was in the school summer holidays - peak season!

SouthBay Holiday Park is in Brixham Devon. On a headland overlooking the Sea. Not all caravans have a seaview - only those on 'H' Field and even then not all of those. The Park is beautifully kept. The accomodation was immaculately clean (we had a 3 bedroom poppy Silver caravan). The staff are very friendly. The (overworked) Housekeeper - Wendy - couldn't do enough for us. She was very helpful - ensuring we had extra blankets/duvets. Nothing was too much trouble.
The lady at Reception was a 'hoot' very jovial and welcoming. The Bar Staff were a bit grumpy - but that didn't put us off. The entertainment was basic but good wholesome fun. Would highly recommend SouthBay - A very good base for exploring the surrounding areas like Paignton, Torquay and beyond. Give it a try - its well worth it. Make sure you say 'Hello' to Wendy - she is a gem and makes you feel so welcome and so special.
