Our second visit to this hotel. We always have a long weekend away at the beginning of February with friends.
The hotel is excellent. Rooms comfortable, bathroom en suite. Indoor, heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Pool towels supplied free of charge. Fortunately the outside pool was still covered so I didn't have to try a refreshing, February dip out there. Games rooms with table tennis, pool and full-sized snooker table (if table light required, this is expensive at £2 per hour with the time it takes me to complete a game. TV in each room. Giant size chess board in the garden.
Food is excellent. Splendid and varied menu and well cooked. Outstanding breakfast table. They have Marmite, of course, so all is well with the World. Respectable wine list at a sensible price. Selection of good, bottled real ales.
