We stayed at Lundy House as we could take our 2 dogs with us. We found the staff to be friendly and approachable. Yes, they were foreign, but they spoke better English then some English people I know. Our room was on the second floor, overlooking the road. It wasn't slamming doors and cars that woke me, but an owl.
The room was okay, didn't watch TV as we were there to sit in our room watching it. The views from the hotel are fantastic. Breakfast was wonderful and highly recommended.
Car parking, I could see could have been an issue, but all the guests staying when we were there discussed it, and we worked together to make sure everyone could park. I parked on the hill leading down to the car park. Not an issue for me.
I have recommended The Lundy House Hotel to friends and family. Only problem is they are closed during the winter.

The hotel is set in the hillside overlooking the sea you have got wonderful views.
The car parking on the other hand is terrible its on a steep hill I would say 1 in 4. If you come from morthoe to the hotel you need to do a complete u-turn somhow to get on to the carpark which I might add only holds 4 at the most.
You enter the hotel from the back door which leads right into the reception dull and drab, needs updating has does all the hotel bedrooms as well.
Our room was on the 2nd floor, seaview, clean but could do with a overall. No window in bathroom put light on each time you use it. Shower, toiletries, towels. No hairdryer.
Found the remote controls for t.v. did'nt work. You have a clock not that you needed it doors were being left to bang as a wake up call.
Breakfast was between 8-8.30 help yourself to cereal, fruit juice, waitresses took your order for cooked breakfast, all the staff were foreign.
