The Townhouse hotel is situated in a quiet leafy muse, between 5 and 10 mins walk from the main High Street. There is free parking.
Check in was smooth, and included a guided walk around the hotel, plus a choice of 2 rooms. One was a little too close to the breakfast room, but the other was lovely, on the 2nd floor which only had one other room on it. While not huge, the room was big enough with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The bathroom was compact, but had a decent over the bath shower with a full shower screen. Toiletries were supplied as was a hairdryer, & the complimentary tea/coffee tray.
There was a wide variety of cereals/fruits/yoghurt for breakfast, followed by either a freshly cooked full English, scrambled/poached eggs, beans on toast, or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Toast was plentiful, and the coffee was freshly ground.
There was free Wi-Fi available, and dvd's could be borrowed and played in the lounge.
The only fault we found with this lovely home from home, was the rattle of the old sash windows on a very blustery night.
We would definitely return here if we visit Cheltenham again.
